Work Party

Jason's union threw a Christmas party for the employees of NV Energy at the Paris Casino.  It was super fancy, it had an reindeer ice sculpture!
The food was french and delicious.
I am a dessert lover so we had to try a little of everything.  Oh la la!
The comedy of the night was this huge chocolate Santa...
that people busted open and started eating.  Hilarious! What is the saying, business in the front, party in the back?!?
Such a fun date night with the hubs. I am just sad we didn't take any pictures of us all decked out.  Brain fart on that one :)

Work

We love our Daddy/Hubby.  He works very hard for our family.
It's not easy to work with coal.  Sometimes it back fires while you are cleaning things out and here is what happens!
 Gotta love this guy!!!

Jason loves Superman and I thought this fit him perfectly!

Student of the Month

I forgot to post about Tyson getting Student of the month for December.  Here he is with Dr. Lea the principal.
They have a super fun "Breakfast With the Principal" and have all the kids that are the students of the month come.
Tyson was so excited to get this award he did not stop shouting "Yes!!!!" for a solid minute when he heard.

So proud of this kid!!

Disney on Ice 2014

We love Disney On Ice at our home.  I'm sure Ryan doesn't remember the last ones she's been to but this is the smile we got while getting ready to go :)
This time we decided to bring a friend last minute.  Taylor & Klara are in the same kindergarten class and church class.  We have decided next time we are going to leave our kids at home and just bring Klara.  Her parents thanked us but we had to thank them for having such a well behaved child in public.  I honestly thought of leaving Tyson & Taylor at the Thomas & Mack.
This time I started the show off with snowcones instead of buying them after the show has started.  That way they could eat them with the lights on while we were waiting for the show to start.  I am getting smarter in my old age!
 Gotta love colored tongues.

This year was the theme was a 50's dance party.
I love that Mickey got photo bombed.
 We love Donald!
Pinocchio's nose actually grew.  Man, am I glad that only happens in fairy tales :)
Cinderella's evil step sisters sang horribly and were funny to watch fall all over the place.
Then it was Ariel & Flounder time.

I really loved Tangled, my favorite part is that her major prop is a frying pan.  Gotta love a girl who can take care of herself!
 Flynn & Max
The kids loved Flynn getting knocked out so many times.

After intermission it was time for Merida.

Then Gaston came out and did his whole tavern number.
No Beauty & the Beast show can be complete without the 'Be Our Guest' song.
Super cool how they transformed the beast into the prince.
 The show's major stars.

Love, love, love Disney!!

Bobcat

Tyson got his Bobcat award at pack meeting!
For each part of the bobcat you color a symbol on the boys face.
I really wanted to make sure he was completely colored up :) I'm nice like that!
This picture cracks me up.  It is the face of a hovering helicopter parent.  Tyson is not a very good reader and I go into panic mode when he has to read in public.  I am always worried that others will make fun of him and he will develop a complex.  He never refuses or gets embarrassed, he plows right through and doesn't think twice about it.  If I could only bottle that 8 year old confidence and sell it, I'd be a millionaire!
And here begins our scouting experiences!!
Yeah for cub scouts!!

Stratosphere

Living in Las Vegas has some perks!  Every weekend in the month of January locals can go up to the top of the Stratosphere free of charge.
It was super fun to show the kids everything from so high.  Usually the tickets just to ride the elevator up are $15 or so.
Tyson apparently is crazy afraid of heights.  Who knew?  He was not doing so well at first.
 Gotta love group shot attempts.
We think we could see our neighborhood from this angle.
The kids loved trying to find the temple.
We watched 2 people bungee down.  Nuts & expensive, it's like $120!
Tyson loved looking through the telescope and telling us about people he could see golfing.
With our ticket to go up the elevator there was a coupon for a pizza & soda for $5.50 each.  The pizza slices were 1/4 of a pizza, so awesome!
Super fun afternoon!!
