Disneyland

We went to Disneyland again this year!  It was so much better than last year.  We only went to Disneyland, last year we did Universal Studios, The San Diego Zoo, Sea World, AND Disneyland.  This year we did three days at Disneyland and it was much better.  We had the guys in their own room which was Heaven!  No sleep talking from Mark and no weird snoring from Darrell.  Now if only I could have put the kids in their own room, that would have been awesome.  Taylor is a wild child and actually fell off the bed while sleeping on the first night there.
Grandma and Grandpa DeMille were there too.  Thanks for all of your help!!
This year we discovered the wonderfulness that is Depends underwear!  The small world ride thanked us, since it didn't get peed on this year.  Jason was also much happier this year because he didn't have to spend all day in the bathroom.  Now I wonder if you are sitting there and thinking that we would leave this old man in his pee all day, the answer is: no.  Mark has a neurogenic bladder, and feels like he has to pee all day.  In reality he can go hours on end without going.  Wearing the depends helped him calm down and he never wet on himself once.  They are just there for back up in case.  Amazingly he was great on the trip, and we honestly didn't know who he was!
Isn't she the cutest thing ever?  This baby was SO good the whole trip and SO happy.  I thank my lucky stars every day for such a GREAT baby!
Tyson was over the moon happy the whole trip, he was tall enough to go on all the rides and was the super star of the trip because everyone wanted to take him on everything.  He really like the roller coasters but hated any ride that got him wet.
Taylor was hit or miss, what can you expect from a two year old?  She did not like rides in the dark and would curl up in a small ball on the ground.  I had to drag her out of the bottom of The Pirates of the Caribbean boat.  Good times :)
Hayden is majorly teething and this bottle of sunblock made several cameos on our trip.  It was her favorite thing to gnaw on.
Mark loves all the special attention he gets from all the workers and all the special accommodations just for him.
Before we went to Disneyland the Disney Store had a great sale on shirts and we all had brand new shirts to wear each day.  It was awesome!  Here are a couple of my favorites.
Taylor has turned into a little Mommy and wants to hold the baby all the time.  She also has to have her purse, shoes, chapstick, sunglasses, and babies with her at all times. Too cute!
Tyson really liked getting all the characters autograph's and taking pictures with them.  Who is this boy?  Last year he was deathly afraid of the characters and would freak out if they came near.
Taylor has no fear and was never afraid of the characters.

During the parade at California the Nemo guy came up to Hayden and she loved it!

Have I said how happy this baby is?
Mark was over the moon to get a picture with Donald, he loves to talk like Donald Duck and thinks it's hilarious.  He also got a Donald hat and has worn it every day since we've been home.
We are hoping to make Disneyland our family's tradition.  This year was so much better than the last.  We are learning every year how to make things run smoother.  One thing we will never do again is go on a Saturday.  In one hour's time we saw 4 rides break while we were in line and even one while we were on it.  It was packed with people and hot as heck(for some reason California was in the middle of a freaky heat wave, 108 + Humidity!)  I can't wait til next year!!

Ty and Hayd

Our lives have been taken over by BASEBALL!  I am not complaining I am just stating a matter of fact.  We have 2 games a week until October and the games are long: 1 and 1/2 hours!  That doesn't include warm ups, prepping the field and all the end of game stuff.  If I say we have baseball, I mean WE HAVE BASEBALL!  It's a 3 hour commitment twice a week.  I LOVE IT!!!!
I have been waiting for this little guy to be this old for 4 years!
The comedy at baseball is brought to us by 12 little boys having to wear cups for the first time.  Endless chuckles, I tell you!  I am the team Mom and they are constantly telling me their cup troubles.  I tell them to go tell their real Mom's about it.  My favorite was little Jayden telling me his won't stop going sideways.  I don't even want to know what is going on in there!
Tyson is getting better at batting.  The rules for their division are they get 6 pitches and if they don't hit they are out.  Pretty vicious, but this is real little league folks!  No pansies welcome!
The outfielding is still pretty rough.  I don't get to see much of the games, it's amazing how busy you are being the team Mom (I thought it was an honorary title, not so much a working title), but the parts I do see I am screaming at the poor boy.  On the first game people actually turned to see who the banshee was screaming at poor Tyson.
On a serious note, Monday was a pretty scary day.  We decided to go for a walk to the Smiths grocery store by our house.  Tyson rode his bike and we even brought the dang dog. (Big mistake)  Nickel kept getting her leash caught on everyone and as we were crossing a side street Tyson swerved out into oncoming traffic to avoid the dog leash and was almost hit by an oncoming car.  The car swerved and missed him, but we were all pretty shaken.  I just can't imagine my life without this special little boy.  I am so grateful Heavenly Father has given him to our family and am so thankful that he was protected and not hurt.  I think I aged a good ten years though!
Enough of the scary stuff!  The other day Jason and I went on a rare date to the movies and brought the popcorn back for the kids.  Tyson took it to the couch and immediately passed out.  What a nut!
Hayden is such a fun baby! She always has a smile on her face and is a go with the flow kind of girl!
Hayden discovered the amazingness that is snow cones on Saturday.  While watching Tyson's baseball game Jason decided to get 2 snow cones for the girls and see how they like them.  Hayden grabbed on and never let go :)
The only problem is for the last 3 days she has had freezer burn on her face!
I had to throw this last one in.  I just love this baby!

Our crazy month

Sorry it has taken so long to update our blog.  It seems like we never sat down once in the month of August.  We were busy, busy, busy.  Here are a few highlights of our month.  The kids are getting so big!Overnight Taylor has turned into a little lady and not so much a baby anymore.
Hayden is almost sitting up without support.  I really haven't been pushing her much to be independent.  I want to keep her a baby as long as possible :)This is our latest project: Taking out the tile.  I have had several people ask: WHY?!?  I say, why not?  I don't like it, I can't match it, and when I finally get the other flooring in it would look weird to have nice new flooring and then this old nasty tile.  Again Jason left one day and came home to me smashing the stuff with a sledge hammer.  I know, I know, he is a GREAT guy!  (But I think he should stop leaving me alone with all these demolition tools around!)
Tyson has started his first season of Official Little League!  This is Official people!  It's coach pitch and he was nervous at first but he is doing well.  He's not the best hitter yet, but he is the faster runner, which makes me laugh.  Isn't he the cutest? We went to the water park, always a favorite. We brought some friends and they encouraged (dragged) Ty and Taylor into the water.
Our most fun this month was we went to Cedar City and camped at Great Grandma DeMille's cabin!  The kids got there and immediately removed their shoes, which is funny because, that's what I did too :)  Man, I hate shoes!Jason bought a BB gun and was so excited to shot and teach the kids a little about guns.  I have been totally against guns for our entire marriage but he is wearing me down and I allowed a BB gun.  It went OK and now he wants a 22.  We are in negotiations...Tyson loves to mug for the camera.  What a ham!Doesn't she look so old all of a sudden?  She was so good camping and on the ride there.  My friend calls her our sucker baby.  She's going to sucker us into having another because she is so good!
We saw a ton of sheep driving up to the cabin and the kids were determined to see some more.  Taylor has been baaing at us ever since the trip.Tyson loved shooting and actually hit the bullseye. (with alot of help from Jason)
We even took the dang dog.  She was in heaven not being on a leash but didn't like the gun and would stand this close while you were trying to aim and then whine and dance around after you shot.  We thought she would like camping more but when we started loading up to go home she got in the van and wouldn't come out.  I guess we have a city dog on our hands!Me and Hayden did a lot of hanging out.  Don't you love camping fashions?
The fire was fun but I kept freaking out that one of the kids would fall in or we would start a forest fire.
Smores, need I say more? The cabin has two bedrooms and one big kitchen/ living room.  It was really fun to have somewhere to stay other than a tent!Tyson started his first day of preschool yesterday.  We are so excited for all the things Tyson is going to learn.  He is finally showing interest in writing letters and numbers.  For the longest time he would just throw a fit any time I tried to work with him.  Taylor really missed him and spent the 3 hours he was gone walking around asking, Ty Ty?Another big thing that happened this month was we were put into a new ward.  Our stake took bits out of 4 wards and made a brand new ward called Harmony Hills.  I am the primary secretary and Jason spoke the first week.  It's been pretty wild to start a ward from nothing and has been pretty busy.  I will try to not let so much time go again before updating!
