Thanksgiving weekend

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I'm starting off with a few pictures around the house and then our holiday weekend review :) I can't tell you how funny it is to be calling Tyson and getting frustrated he's not answering and then find him like this. The kid just drops and it is just the funniest thing! We had tattoo night the other night. Tyson got them for his birthday and it was fun to get tatted up!

For Thanksgiving we went to Jason's Grandma's house in Cedar City. We drove up Thursday and I had to be back Thursday night to get Mark from his sister's house. He had a lot of fun spending the day with his sister, brother-in-law, and their friends but having him overnight would have been a bit much for them. So up we went with the kids , Darrell and even the dang dog. When we got to Cedar we found out that Jason's mother was being admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. So that was upsetting for everyone, we sure missed Grandma during Thanksgiving!!
When we got to Great Grandma's house there was a little snow left over by her house from a snow storm a week ago. The kids loved it! Especially Taylor who decided to eat it!
Isn't she a nut? I bet it felt great on those sore gums! Teething is the worst!

Taylor also loved torturing Great Grandma's dog. That poor dog wasn't used to kids actually jumping on it!
I didn't get too many pictures of Thanksgiving, it was pretty rushed. Taylor, Darrell, the dang dog and I left by 3pm so we could get home for Mark. Jason and Tyson stayed in Cedar City and were going to come home with Jason's parents who were going to drive through Vegas on Saturday.
Jason, Tyson and Grandpa went up to Cedar Breaks to play in the snow.

Then they went to a tree festival in town with Tyson's cousins.

On Saturday it started to snow in Cedar City and dumped bucket loads at Great Grandma's house. Tyson was in heaven!
Tyson also directed Great Grandma on how to set up her Christmas tree. The bottom of the tree was decorated by Tyson :)
Here are Tyson and his cousin Michael playing in all the snow at Great Grandma's house.
By Sunday Jason's mother was still in the hospital so we met in Mesquite to pick Jason and Tyson up. Jason's Mom is going stir crazy in the hospital but they still will not release her yet.
When Tyson got home he was very insistent that we go get a Christmas tree, after all his tree fun in Cedar City. We usually get a real tree and don't want to get it too early, so we compromised and let him set up the train that goes around the tree.
Do you have a fake tree or real tree?
It seems like real trees are fading out, but we love them.
We hope everyone had a fun filled Thanksgiving!

My 4 year old!

This boy is now a 4 year old!!!!
He loves to ride his bike and is getting really good at it. We had a little family party on Wednesday and then had his big friend party today. We started the morning with a t-ball game.

And then came home to the jump house!! Tyson was in heaven as you can see!

Isn't that an awesome jump house?
We had a Buzz pinata and right when we went to hang it up it broke. So Daddy got to be the pinata holder, lucky Daddy. I know they are dangerous and I have tons of horrible memories of being hit in the nose as a kid, but I love pinatas!
The kids are too funny when candy is involved, it is serious business and every last piece must be claimed.
We played a game called Buzz Balloon Bomb. You blow up a balloon and let it go, hopefully it hits the bullseye. Everyone who hit a bullseye got a prize. We played until everyone won a prize. It was a lot of fun.
We also played pin the name badge on Buzz. Didn't Jason do such a good job drawing a Buzz for the game? It was his one assignment, he was fired from cake getting after last years debacle! I would have to say he redeemed himself quite nicely this year :)
It was a free for all with the present opening, Tyson loved all of his gifts.
He also loved his Buzz birthday cake and blowing out all of the candles.
I can't believe my baby is 4!!! All Wednesday I kept getting weepy thinking about it. I think I'll be out and out bawling when he goes to school. I better start prepping for it now! Don't you just love birthday parties? Tyson was so happy the whole day and had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came and shared in Tyson's big day! (Notice the absence of Taylor in the pictures, the girl slept through the whole thing!)

Our week

On Veterans day I went to Utah for a fun girls only trip and left Jason with the kids. Tyson has been on a visiting the mountains kick and Jason took the kids up there to play in the man made snow. Gotta love Vegas!Jason also was the hairstylist for the day. Poor girl, I wonder if she saw much of the mountains.
Tyson was in heaven, he called and was sad to report he did not get to see any polar bears though. What a nut!
Tyson has rediscovered the piano, I may have a mini Mozart on my hands!!
He also has rediscovered my old roller skates and thinks it's hilarious to roll around the house in them. He keeps asking me to put them on and I emphatically refuse! Could you imagine a big pregnant lady on skates? It's the makings of a disaster!
The last thing he's rediscovered is Buzz and Woody. I guess they are cool after all.
Tyson's field work is still a problem, he can't understand how to be proactive and go after the ball. He watches it pass by and then goes after it.

Look at that baller in action. Too bad this was the warm ups and not the game.
This was all he did during the game. This boy's name is Tyson O. It has caused quite a bit of confusion this season. They had a good ole time talking out there, who knows what they were saying. I guess politics or the meaning of life...
Tyson and I saw a picture of these cupcake turkeys and gave them a try on Sunday. They were a lot of fun to make.
And a lot of fun to eat!
Taylor really did like them, this is just her newest face she gives to everyone. It gets even fiercer in the grocery store. Tyson calls it "angry eyebrows".
Gotta love the chocolate mustache!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Monday Mania

I am on this kick that everything needs to be painted black so here are the kitchen chairs getting their makeover. Tyson is hilarious when he is running at his games and has the biggest smile!

He actually was posing for me while on 3rd. What a nut!
We finally tried pigtails and it was a total hit! Isn't she the cutest?
The right one was the first to go, you can see why. I think next I'm going to try to put all of her hair on the left side of her head and then see what happens.
Tyson went on a field trip to the Great Harvest Bread Company. It was too cute. Each kid got a loaf of bread and a cookie. The whole drive there Tyson was so excited to get the cookie.
Here the guy was showing the kids the wheat and then he showed them the flour it turns in to. I wish I would have gotten a picture of Tyson's face because he decided to eat the flour.
Here the guy is showing them how he rolls out a loaf.

We decided to take the kids to the temple to walk the grounds after the field trip because it's pretty close. You would have thought we were in Disneyland. The kids loved it and thought it was the greatest playground ever. Tyson was confused why Jesus has so many houses. He kept telling us there's only one Jesus, but he has a lot, a lot of houses.

And this is where my camera died. So sad, I would have loved more pictures of the kids exploring, they were pretty funny.
