We love Halloween!

We love the holidays because that means packages from Grandma and Grandpa!! The kids were so excited to see what was in the box.The candy was a big hit with the kids, but I love the clothes!!
Isn't this the cutest dress ever? Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!! We love you (and the package)!!
I put this picture in of Taylor because I really do have her looking cute before church, but somehow on the drive there her hair gets undone and she looks like a homeless child by the time I get here out of the car.
Taylor has been making the silliest faces and this is a new one. She is saying Uh-oh, because she is making a mess with chocolate cereal.
Tyson did really well at his t-ball game. Look at him smacking the crap out of that T!
That's my boy!!
He also was running like a crazy man. Now we just have to get to work on the outfield and I think he's ready for the pros :)
Bat girl Taylor strikes again. (Literally)
What can I say?
Tyson's preschool class went on our first field trip. We went to this cute little pumpkin patch and Tyson had a blast! Here he is with most of his class, the kids on the sides are siblings and one kid was missing.
Tyson paired up with Hailey the whole time and they had us laughing and laughing with how cute they were. Tyson would help Hailey climb up the stairs and then they would hold hands and go down. He even tried to pet the animals in the petting zoo because he had to be tough for Hailey. Too cute!!!
I tried to get a pumpkin picture with both kids but that would include kids who cooperate. So this was the best one.
Taylor has no fear and was so funny with the animals. This was the biggest goat and Taylor's favorite victim to torture.
We have a Halloween party tomorrow and will have tons of pictures of the kids in their costumes. Stay tuned!!!

Only 99 more days to go!

This poor little girl had shots yesterday and has been so sad since. I was trying to get a picture of her ponytail but she wouldn't let me put her down so I had to try to take it while she was on my lap. Here she is snuggling and refusing to sit nice for a picture. It's been fun trying to get her to sit still long enough to get all of her fly away hair into a ponytail.
This one picture about sums up Tyson's game last Saturday. He was very content to run in circles and kick up as much dirt as possible.

Taylor is the best bat girl. She just scares the heck out of me(and everyone else) when she gets a hold of one :)
Taylor and her fearless self has learned how to get up on the trampoline all by herself. She runs and runs and tries to catch Tyson. It's hilarious.

The kids are loving the cooler weather because it means swing time!

We are out of the triple digits on our baby count down! The time is flying by!!! Soon baby number three will be here and we can't wait. It is just funny how much being pregnant wears you down. Yesterday Taylor had shots and then we had the missionaries for dinner and it seemed like I didn't sit down once the whole day. So by the time the missionaries were gone and the guys were showered and put to bed I was pretty done. I decided to do an experiment with my husband. I tried to see how many times I could say the phrase, "I am so tired." before he would catch on and help me out with the dishes/cleaning/lunch making/etc.
We got up to 12 times before I gave up my "experiment" and threatened him with death if he didn't start helping. Ya gotta love husbands, when is it their turn to carry a baby for 9 months?

Good times

Oh my goodness! I am on a score one for the little guy high. I have finally figured out how to beat Albertson's with their sales and coupons. Today I bought TONS of groceries and my final bill was $46.55. I mean it's just ridiculous how much you can save! On one receipt my total was $5.42 and I saved $50.37, what the heck!?! I got 14 boxes of cereal, 9 bags of chex mix (my favorite), fruit snacks, granola bars, brownies, cookies, yogurt, I mean the list goes on and on! I had the grocery smarts representative do a class at my house and it was fine, but one thing that bothers me is how she said it would all be so easy. I am telling you now it is NOT easy! I spend an entire day gearing up for a shopping trip. I have gone through two things of black ink in a month printing tons of coupons offline. Half the time the grocerysmarts lists are wrong and I don't find out til I'm in the store trying to get 15 boxes of Hamburger Helper that my coupons are no good. But when it really does work out, Good night nurse, it is awesome!!!
Here is one of our totally tricked out pantries. All you gardeners out there I need some serious help! Here are my tomatoes. They won't turn red so I leave them on the vine and then they split open. What's up?
I found these overalls for Taylor and they made me smile the entire day she wore them. She's such a nut. If you set a phone down low enough for her to reach it, it's gone. Here she is in Mark's room laughing her guts out. Why you ask?
She's laughing at Tyson the bat!!
I broke down and bought him one offline. He thought it was the greatest thing ever and is convinced he flies when he pumps his arms up and down.
You gotta love the little girl hair. Still no bows or ponytails. This fight ensues...
Tyson began t-ball practise like this so it was a fun practise.
I tried to fix his hat when he woke up and got out of the car but he insisted that he wear it like this. Am I raising a Gangsta G?
No post would be complete without a new sleeping picture.
I was thinking of taking all the crazy sleeping positions I already have pictures of and making Tyson a little book, but you never know where he'll pass out next.

T-ball is here again!

Be warned there is a lot of the color orange in this post. Proceed with caution!
Tyson had his first T-ball game on Saturday!!!
He was very shy again. Which I have decided is OK. One kid threw tantrums and walked off the field 10 times. Mine stayed in one position and kept his uniform brilliantly white.
He was looking back for help but all he got was a camera flash.
This was after his first hit which took forever. His favorite new thing to say is I don't know how to do this. He walked to the bases and kept putting his hands over his face.
He was on base when the last batter hit and wouldn't run so coach Jamie had to drag him home so the other boys could come in too.
For every hit he would drag his bat to the plate like hitting was a rare torture we were putting him through.
By the second inning he was running. (I was screaming like crazy of course!)
Here he is in the one position they put him in and the one position he never left. I don't know where he got his baseball pose but I think it's the best!
Afterwards we played on the toys and all traces of the shy kid were gone. Fearless Taylor struck again and would try to walk down the slides. She's a nut!
Jason and I had the following conversation on Tyson's shyness.
Jason: "I was shy as a kid but was never shy like this playing sports."
Me: "Take a good look at Tyson, this is what you turn into in social situations. This is what I get to deal with."
Jason: "Well, I was never shy playing sports."
I just love that he thought that Tyson's shyness was coming from somewhere other than him. Why is my kid shy? Because of my husband, end of story bud :)

Where the wild things are

I constantly say, "What are we raising?" The answer is wild things. Every time Tyson sees the previews for the new movie coming out he shouts, "There's my movie!" He hit it right on the head!! We dug out the old costume box and this lovely weapon was in it. Tyson is in heaven with such a huge toy to chase Nickel with. (Poor dog!) Now, I am NOT one of those mothers that lets her kids run around in diapers all day, but this day I made an exception after Taylor totally destroyed 2 outfits. One outfit she will never wear again courtesy a fudgesicle and the other outfit has some serious cheetos damage.
Doesn't she look too cute with her little pot belly hanging over her diaper? Chubby babies are the best!
Tyson has decided that his favorite color is green. I have a Fabulous Friday tonight and we needed to paint these letters so we can embellish them later. Tyson thought it was the greatest that the letter "T" (his letter) was going to be painted green (his color). He did great painting it and laughed the whole time about his color and his letter :)
I went to DI the other day. (Sad to say I am not a fan of our DI, check out Savers if you want real thrift store action!) I did however find an awesome treasure, this amazing dinosaur costume! I thought maybe Tyson would be scared of it but he thought it was awesome too and has been wearing it a ton!
I thought I had solved the bat issue by getting this great costume, but when asked what he's going to be for Halloween he still says a bat. Time to hit the websites and see if I can find one!
This is my favorite sleeping picture so far. He was literally growling at us like a dinosaur, took a break and passed out. He sure keeps us entertained !
Tyson had another t-ball practise yesterday. His first game is Saturday. It was confusing having two boys named Tyson, I'm hoping they'll give the other boy a nickname or something. We tried calling Tyson, Tyson D. but he didn't get it.
Taylor thinks she's on the team. It's going to be hard to keep her off the field on Saturday.
Tyson playing catch. (Taylor in the middle of the action)

Waiting to catch a ball (Isn't he too cute with his glove on his hip?)
The best part about this season is the running! He is doing so well!!!
Oh, I love these wild and crazy kids. Here's hoping number three is calm and mild. That would certainly be a BIG change around here!!

what we've been up to

I know everyone loves this time of year when the weather cools down. Especially in Vegas where the summers are ridiculously hot. However I am not a fan of the changing weather. Give me 100+ temperatures any day! I love the shorts, sandals, and swimming. I really am not looking forward to the cooler weather and it has given me a case of the blahs. Hopefully we're on the downswing of the blahs and I am starting to make my peace with Fall.
Grandpa made the kids this great giraffe. It is a mister and the kids (and dog) have had endless hours of entertainment from it. (Thanks Grandpa!!)
(Our yard is decorated courtesy the lovely wind we've been having)
I am trying desperately to get Taylor used to putting things in her hair. This was our attempt at a ponytail. It lasted a little longer than the bows but not much longer.
It has officially begun!!!
T-ball season
Where is my son you ask? He's the one with his face in his mitt of course.

This is Tyson's coach, Coach Jamie. She's really nice but it is a big change from his coach last season. There are 12 boys on the team. There are 2 Tyson's, Tyler from church, a Trevon, and a Trey. Good luck coach Jamie!
Tyson put his hat on like that in the car and then wore it like that the whole time. He was pretty shy again and needed a lot of encouragement to run but he did well. The only problem is he didn't get to catch one ball and had a meltdown on the way home :(
Today I didn't hear Tyson for a while and then he came out from under the stairs all upset. He had been playing with this bear and decided...
...that the bear clothes would look good on him.
I told him I had to take a picture of him to show Daddy what he had done. He was pretty upset AND pretty stuck in that tiny sweater. It was hilarious trying to take it off of him. I wish I could understand the thought process of 3 year olds!
I had to throw in another sleeping picture. I wish I could tell you that we pose him this way but we don't. He is the world's craziest sleeper. I am going to call Guinness World Records to see how many more pictures of this crazy sleeper we need to get him his own record.
