Fun hump day

Yesterday I had way too much time on my hands. It was GREAT!!! I painted for hours and got a ton done. The house wasn't cleaned and nothing was cooked for dinner, but I sure was happy to get a few projects done :)Last night we went to Disney on Ice at the Thomas and Mack. It was a ton of fun!! I bought these tickets a couple of months ago and honestly thought only Jason and Tyson would be able to go because we would have had our baby, but no. I squeezed my big ole 9 month pregnant behind into their teeny tiny chairs. They may be teeny tiny chairs, but thank goodness they are sturdy!
Before the show started they had a few displays of the princesses. Taylor was less than amused.

The show started with Mater and the cars.
Then we saw the little mermaid.
Don't ask how much these toys cost. The price was obscene, but the kids love them and our tickets were only $10 because it was opening night. That's my justification anyway.

The problem with Taylor's toy is that she kept coming after everyone with it and those things hurt when you get them smack in the head. Just ask the guy in front of us!
Taylor played with her tinker bell toy maybe 20 minutes and then found her favorite toy, my poor hair. I could have saved myself quite a bit of money. Dang!
Then there was a lion king show, but all the pictures are blurry. Those animals moved way too fast.
Tinker bell closed the show and was probably the favorite.
Taylor did a lot of pointing and "wow's".
Tyson loved it. He was very happy the whole time.
The problem is he's already seen a commercial for the show this morning and is asking if we are going again tonight. Kids are great aren't they? He's also been asking when are we going to Disneyland again. I keep telling him we are having a baby soon and we won't be going anywhere anytime soon. It's not going over too well :) Oh well, he'll have a lot to talk about with his therapist about how his parents ruined his life by giving him 2 sisters!!

They have early bird pricing of $60 and then it goes up to $75. The season is from April 17th to June 12th. We are signing Tyson up for t-ball next Wednesday(the 26th) at the CiCi's pizza off of the 215 and Decatur. They also have a website : www.nysonline.org if anyone wants to check it out! Yeah t-ball!!!

starting the long weekend early

This girl is now a wild and crazy toddler. The tantrums are amazing and the screaming could make grown men cry. (And does, Poor Jason!!) Taylor starts official nursery without Mommy in there on Sunday. Her new favorite words are Eat and Me!! She runs into the kitchen and screams Eat every morning. She can pack away the food with the best of them. Anytime someone has something she wants she shouts Me until we can't take it anymore and give her anything to stop the shouting. Good times, good times :) Jason decided to take the kids to FAO Schwarz today. He was going to do it alone and at the last minute I decided to go. Not that I didn't trust him or anything I just wanted to see the kids reactions to all the toys.
Taylor found this Big Bird stuffed animal and I had every intention of buying it for her until I found that it was over $40 dollars. It was ugly separating her from him.
This was my favorite, Taylor kept hugging all these crazy monkeys.
Tyson loved the fish, they were super cool.
We then went to a favorite of ours: Leatherby's. My family and I have been going to Leatherby's since I was a kid. Back in the day it was the greatest place ever. Now it is a little less than a dive and I am totally surprised we have not gotten the stomach flu or some food borne illness from the place. The service is HORRIBLE, and every time we go I think, well it can't be worse than last time. And it always is!! They have this one Asian waitress and she will not listen to anything you order and does anything she wants. And I KNOW that she is thinking in her head that I don't need ice cream and calling me fat. I KNOW that's what she's thinking because she makes little noises after I order ice cream!
Taylor was not a happy camper. It was nap time but we persevered. The waitress would not let Taylor drink out of a little cup and insisted she get a huge styrofoam cup with a straw.
These are the little cups she wouldn't let Taylor drink out of. This picture was taken right before the madness started. Jason knocked a little cup over and it got all over Tyson. So Jason goes to tell the waitress and she makes us change tables and then takes all of our water cups away from us and gives all 4 of us styrofoam cups with lids on them.
Jason and I were tempted to get up and leave but the ice cream is too good so we endured this crazy waitress and this crazy place. I also believe that it could be a drug front for the mafia, but keep that on the down low :)
I bought these great 3-D puzzles at Michael's the other day and Tyson and I put one together. It was a snake and it HAD to be painted Tyson's color green (of course).
I think I am pooped out for the long weekend just from today. What are your holiday weekend plans?

bad day blues

What a day, what a day! It all started last night is the problem. Many people think we are crazy because our children sleep with us and we CANNOT get them to sleep in their own beds. We have tried many, many things, but nothing has worked yet. So because they sleep with us, Jason and I rarely get a good nights sleep. Last night was the worst! Jason and I have put a futon mattress in our closet and a queen bed in Tyson's room and one of us usually end up in one of those beds because we have been kicked out of our own king sized bed by our crazy children. So last night was not much different then most, Taylor decided to pull half my hair out and sleep with her head right in my back, I took it for as long as I could until my hip fell asleep(which is happening much too often for my tastes lately). I got up at 11:30pm and slept in the closet. Tyson had a bad dream and came into the closet flipping out around 1am. He kept shouting, "I ate Taylor's bow tie and it's in my stomach!" What the heck you ask? Me too. I got him calmed down and he took over the futon mattress in the closet with me hanging on the edge for dear life. Every hour I was looking at the alarm clock to see if I could get up yet. I finally fell asleep around 4am, only to have Jason tell me at 4:30am that Taylor is awake and he has to get ready for work. I go over to our bed and lay down by Taylor, for some reason she decides to sit up at the same time I am adjusting the blanket and my thumb stabs her in the eye. It was a bad accident and now her right eye has broken blood vessels in it. I start bawling uncontrollably and Jason doesn't know what to do. I told him to go to work, we need all his days off for when the new baby comes. Taylor finally falls back to sleep around 5:30am and then my alarm goes off at 5:45am to get the guys up for work. In the middle of getting the guys ready for work Tyson has a panic attack because he woke up in the closet all by himself and wakes Taylor up too. So we started our day at 6:15am! Tyson is still insisting he ate Taylor's bow tie and has informed me that everyone has a bow tie in their stomachs. What the heck?
On our agenda for the day was the mechanic and a doctor's appointment. We were at the Toyota dealership for 2 and1/2 hours to get a stinkin' oil change. We had one last free oil change from purchasing a new car. I can't wait to go to Jiffy Lube next time! The kids passed out on the ride home and have two hours to sleep before my doctor appointment. For lunch they've had donuts, cookies and soda from the mechanic shop. I hope I can keep it together at the doctor's appointment but if one thing is wrong I just might take everyone out. I keep trying to be positive about these last few weeks of being pregnant but I honestly believe people are in cahoots to drive me insane. And I can't even say, well tomorrow will be better, because tomorrow I get to look forward to taking Mark in for a prostate biopsy! I thought I would start documenting these insane days I have so when they actually do admit me into the loony bin I can show proof that my craziness just didn't happen overnight, it was too many days full of insanity that drove me over the edge!

Coupon update

I used all internet coupons(I went on coupons.com and the grocery smarts website. They had cereal coupons on the A B &C sections) but there are some coupons in this last Sunday's paper. The ones on the internet are $1 to .50 off. The ones in the newspaper are buy 3 get $1 off. At Vons they are having select General Mills cereals on sale for $2.49 and when you buy 4 you get $4 off automatically from General Mills. Pair that with coupons and you could get some as low as .49 cents. The cereals that I got are Trix, Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Chex (wheat & rice), & Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There is a limit of 20 boxes in one transaction. I tried to do 2 transactions at the Vons off of the 215 and Durango and they would only let me buy 20 and made me put back the other 17. I went to the Vons off of Lone Mountain and Decatur and had no problem doing another transaction with my same Vons club card.
Side note: The clearance at Target is AWESOME! I went this morning and spent $27.33 and saved $219.04!! I found a prelit garland for my stairs for .90 cents! AWESOME!

Coupons

In for a penny, in for a pound is my motto on life. My morning was spent coupon clipping. (It doesn't look like much but in person it is quite a large pile.) Then it was off to Vons (not my favorite store by any stretch). I spent $31.23 and got 37 boxes of cereal.
Yeah for coupons!
I guestimate this should last 4 months tops.

this and that

Tyson sure gives us a run for our money. His new favorite thing is Jason's laptop. He wants to play all the games and then gets stuck and frustrated. He's such a nut! (Don't you love how the laptop is half the size of him?) We recently signed up for the Friend magazine and Tyson loves it. He is constantly asking for us to read it to him. The other day we read a story about a boy that was 4 years old just like Tyson. This boy was mean to his Mom and was sent to his room. While in his room he said a prayer to help him be nice. He came out of his room and apologized to his Mom.
So Tyson's newest thing to do is when he is in trouble and sent to his room, he comes out 2 seconds later stating he has said a prayer and expects all to be forgiven. I worry about this boy and his ability to manipulate. We are going to have a lot of fun with this one!

Tyson got a skateboard for Christmas and I love this picture, he looks like a true skater. He mostly just sits on it and rides it around the house though :)
We went to the park again with our friends. They sure are a big help, and the kids love them!

Taylor thinks she is too big for the enclosed swing and insisted on being on this big swing.
She did NOT like the slide though and only went down this one. I didn't get too many pictures of Tyson on the toys because he went down every single slide and was in heaven.
We fed the crazy birds again and saw a dead fish. Too much fun!

Taylor is getting as good as Tyson in chasing the birds.
We didn't do too much for New Year's, we were kind of holidayed out. Me and the kids were down at 8:30pm and Jason rang in the New Year alone :( Right now I am in crazy nesting mode and will post pictures of our finished projects. Jason WILL finish the kitchen come hell or high water, it has been going on since July and I AM DONE looking at my walls with no chair rail on them. I cut a bunch of tile Saturday to finish little vinyl projects I had been neglecting and I think I am going to paint the loft. We finally got our official packet in the mail telling us our C-section is scheduled for February 1st at 12pm. I am hating doctor's appointments and climbing stairs but the end is in sight! Soon our new baby girl will be here and we can't wait!
