Knott's Berry Farm

For our 4th day of vacation we went to Knott's Berry Farm.  It was a Thursday and the place was DEAD!  There were no lines for anything and we had the place almost to ourselves!
The characters were begging people to talk to them.  Crazy!
The girls actually rode this ride 6 times in a row!  Jason took the boys off and did all of the parks major rides in an hour!
Me and the girls hung out in Camp Spooky :)
Best shot of the day, both girls looking and the ride moving. I know I have mad camera skills :) (I wish!)
I thought Ryan would love the balloons but she went stiff as they lifted off of the ground.  Such a nut!
The girls each got their own basket and we were the only people on the ride. Crazy!

Hayden is crazy tall for her age but Knott's Berry Farm is very strict on their height requirements.  She is 41 inches and you have to be 42 inches to ride this teeny baby ride.  Lucky Mom got to go with her on this one.  *Side note* I only make this face for the kids benefit, I really wasn't scared on this tiny ride :) Really!
The best part about Knott's is finding these random statutes sitting all over the place.  The problem is our kids are always inappropriately feeling these poor girls up.  Poor lady statues :)
Hayden is a merry go round fanatic!

Because Jason went on all of those rides in an hour, they did the Boomerang twice in a row because there was no line, Jason was again motion sick so I got stuck on the roller coasters.  After this ride Tyson told me, "Mom, your hair is crazy!"  California does crazy things to my hair, by the time we came home I was sporting quite an afro :)
In Camp Snoopy they have this mini roller coaster and the kids can go on it alone.  Awesome!  That little blonde hair in the second row is Hay-Hay.
We ended our day early at Knotts and went to my favorite place...
 IKEA!!!
Oh how I love that place!!!
I love these kids chairs and my kids would love them too if they weren't $80!!  $80 for a plastic kids chair?!?  One day they will drop in price and they will be mine, Oh yes, they will be mine.  Sorry, slipped into Wayne's World there :)
We usually don't let the kids walk with us because Jason can't handle me on one side begging for everything and then them on the other side begging too.  They had a horrible play place that only allowed 6 kids in at a time.  The kids didn't even get their shoes on before they were telling me how horrible it was on the inside.  They had to clean up all these other kids mess and then everyone couldn't go in the ball pit because of these other bad kids. So sad, so we let them have some fun in the kid area.  Bad idea! I ended up paying quite a bit of money for stuffed animals we did not need!
Little Ryan was adorable on this wooden horse.  Did you know IKEA even sells gingerbread house kits?  Totally bought 3 of them, Christmas is coming!
I didn't buy any major furniture this time but wrote down several ideas for our next trip :)

Day 3 Disneyland Parkhopping

It's so funny on your last day at Disney, you want to get everything in.  They covered Sleeping Beauty's castle in "snow".  It looks really realistic.

We did the jungle cruise which is always fun.
We found a hotel that serves breakfast and we made lunch everyday, so all we had to pay at the park was for dinner.  Instead of PB &J everyday I tried to mix it up this time.  Here the kids are eating turkey & cheese tortilla roll ups.  Crazy amounts of money were saved!
Daddy and his girls.
Mommy and her boy.
For Halloween they actually had a whole Halloween town complete with petting zoo!
Hayden was in heaven. She talked to the goats and petted each one.
Ryan had her pointer out :)
We also went into the villain tent were they conjured up Cruella DeVil.  The kids loved her!  She made fun of everyone and kept shouting, "Puppies"!!  Hilarious!  The kids are still walking around shouting Puppies! at each other.
Taylor & Tyson talked us all into going on the swinging gondola.  Ahhhhh!
The baby was petrified and clung to us for quite a while.
She finally sat with Daddy but went stiff as a board every time the gondola swung.  Also on my never again list: swinging gondolas!!  Jason had a rough time on this too and was motion sick the rest of the day.  We are a couple of old farts!

For dinner we had the amazing broccoli & cheese bread bowls in Disney California.  I think the 4 hour drive is worth it just for one of their yummy bread bowls!
Tyson & Taylor opted for Turkey legs.  Such a couple of nuts!
Since we had saved so much on food the kids were allowed to buy a toy.  Tyson always wants the legos.
The girls got the new movie Frozen's dolls.
Here are some awesome shots that I stole on my phone.  Cars Racers.
California Screaming
Splash Mountain.
Such a fun time at Disneyland!

Day 2 Disney California

We went to Disney California for our 2nd full day of vacation.  I love early mornings when you can grab a character and there isn't a huge line.  Grandpa DeMille always talks to the kids in Donald Ducks voice so they loved getting to see Donald.
The merry go round is a must.  Halfway in though Ryan was done and kept trying to jump off.  Gotta love one year olds :)
The girls and I chose the non-swinging gondola.  They are my favorite.

After the boys went on California screaming, we met up and went on the Toy Story ride.  I have never seen this ride with a short line.  It is so fun and you want to go on it over and over again.  We limited it to one time this trip.

Afterwards we met up with Jessie and Buzz.

This is the new roller coaster in Cars Land.  It is awesome!
I am not a huge roller coaster person anymore and I usually have to be talked (begged) into new rides.  This one was super fun and so well done.  Love, love, loved it!
We have so much fun on the Monsters ride.  Ryan was a little unsure of it.

Hayden practicing her roar face.
Tyson decided to stand under the misters outside of the soaring ride.  Such a nut!
The kids loved running wild in the outdoor wood area.  It used to be all about Brother Bear and now it is all about Up and the wilderness scouts.

We caught the Pixar parade late in the afternoon.

Jack Jack was a high light with his flaming hair.

Ryan had the best seat in the house :)

They always squirt water at you off of each float.  So funny what people will do to avoid getting wet.

Mater was the end of the parade.  After that it was dinner and a 2 hour wait for the water show.  No pictures can do justice to the misery that is waiting for the water show.  As every kid had taken their turn losing their mind I swore that I would never see the dang water show again!  I couldn't even see half of it cause I'm so dang short.  It was a very long day and even longer night.
