freecycle treasures

Taylor is the funniest girl. She is moving everywhere and into everything. The one thing she hasn't learned yet is how to roll over if she is on her back. So this is how I find her. She had been playing with toys and somehow landed on her back. She just shouts her little shout until I come over and sit her up again so she can play more. Here is Daddy and Taylor. They have the same face! Aren't they sweet?
We babysat for the cutest kids yesterday. This little boy is a couple of months older than Taylor. He taught her many bad things and made me realize how much I have to do to get our house baby proofed for Taylor.

I wish I had gotten a picture of Tyson and the little girl we babysat too. I was in the kitchen watching the babies and I hear Tyson say three times, "Hello, I love you!" He sure is starting young, huh?
So, you may or may not know about this great website called freecycle.org. Well it is my favorite. People who don't want their old stuff anymore post it on the site and if you'd like it you reply. Everything is totally free! So someone was getting rid of their old Halloween costumes and I love dressing my kids up so it was a match made in heaven. Here is Tyson in a power rangers costume.

Here is Tyson as Spiderman. We laughed our guts out, the "muscles" are very fluffy and look an awful lot like boobs. But Tyson was oblivious and had a great time slinging web with Mark.

Tyson loved being a turtle. It even has the shell and everything!

I thought I'd post other lovely things I've received totally free from freecycle. This hutch is my favorite.

This is our leather chair and the people even gave us the cleaning supplies for it.

The lady that gave us the costumes also gave us this light. Totally brand new, still in it's box and wrappings. She just couldn't use it so she passed it on. I am going to put it in my old house to update one of the bathrooms. If you get a chance check out freecycle.org. I am totally hooked. Do be warned I have gotten some mighty strange things as well. It's a crap shoot, but you can't beat free!

Hanging out at home

We were home yesterday messing around and decided to take a few pictures.Look at those baby blues!
Taylor doesn't go in this very often, she really likes it when she does.

If any pictures are being taken Tyson must be a part of it.

After Taylor got out she went back for more. She pulled herself up and was playing all by herself.

She wasn't too happy to be bothered by me taking a picture.

Of course Tyson needed to be a part of the pictures.

Tyson likes to growl at us and pretend he is a tiger.
*Please note the light circle in the middle of Tyson hair. Tyson decided it would be a good idea to put his gum in his hair the other day. We tried ice cubes but it was taking too long and he was freaking out so I cut it and now we have this crazy circle in his hair.

Tyson did this for a solid half hour. He would set up...

and fly across the couch...

and land in the pillows laughing his guts out.
He never once fell off the couch or injured himself, he is a jumping pro.
The reason we were hanging at home is because I have been horribly sick, I broke down and went to the doctor and am hopping to finally be getting better. It sucks to be a sick Mom. All I've wanted to do is stay in bed but there has been no time. Oh well, no rest for the wicked I guess.

Our weekend

I can't believe my little girl is already 8 months old! Where has the time gone? I love all the little faces she makes, and her crazy hair that I can't do anything with. She is into everything and is now pulling herself up on the coffee table. Nothing is safe anymore.
Jason had the great idea to have a camp out in the loft. Tyson LOVED it.

Taylor doesn't know what to think of the tent.

We put the futon mattress in the tent and Tyson was in jumping heaven.

My Father-in-Law built us this awesome planter months ago and we finally decided to put it to use. I planted onions, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, and bell peppers.

The only problem was I of course forgot to water them all weekend. This is what I found today.

This is my almost completed patio. I broke my wedding ring (again), while I was laying the bricks. I thought this would be a pretty easy job but it has been a nightmare. I had the missionaries over to help. I had 4 elders here for 2 hours and they layed 9 bricks. The rest has been all me. The tough thing is getting the ground level and then positioning the bricks just right.

Tyson and I were outside and he was actually posing for the camera so I took advantage and took a few pictures of my cute guy.

It's been so windy here and the wind just recently let up, that's why Tyson and I were outside. There are homes that are empty foreclosures all over our neighborhood and we have three right to the east of us. It's sad to see, but the worst part is the sounds. The homes are empty and for some reason all the smoke detectors beep like crazy all day and all night. So Tyson and I could only stand about 20 minutes outside before coming in with headaches. Tonight Jason is going to be taking a trip over to the neighbors home and turning off their breakers, it's sad when a little boy can't play outside!

my crazy sleeper

Tyson was watching some cartoons yesterday and we thought he was just being silly and pretending to sleep but he was actually passed out in this position. Seeing him in yet another weird sleeping position reminded me of all the other crazy places he's fallen asleep. He is the worst sleeper so when he does fall asleep we usually leave him where he drops.Another angle. What a nut!
This time we dared to wake him up. I was worried that he would fall off of the couch arm, so Jason laid him down and then we have this position. Laying down but still crazy.

A few days ago I told him to go sit on the couch for time out and when time out was over I found this. I tell you time out was less than two minutes!

This was the first time the kids took a nap together at home. I honestly thought they got together and planned that only one of them could sleep at a time to drive me mad!

This was in the hospital. Taylor was a couple days old. We were trying to get awake pictures and this is what we got. I think I like it more than the picture we were trying to get.

Grandma was visiting and was singing a song and that was all it took.

Tyson was being wild this day. He took every toy out of the box and then got in it and passed out. We have never laughed so hard in our lives. His little head kept bobbing around, there was nowhere for it to go because he's in a round tub.

In the middle of eating. Oh that boy!

I guess this is one last shot of what started this post. I still haven't mastered posting the pictures you want at the beginning at the end yet.

Gotta love those crazy kids!
