crazy about couponing

Have you ever had one of those days where you are going to get done what you need to get done no matter what? Well today was that day. The kids are wild, I'm tired, it's a Monday, but my coupons are expiring today and come hell or high water, I am going to save money!! This may get a little boring but stay with me. We started the day returning two cases of baby food to Babies R Us. We bought them when the store had it's grand opening sale: buy 2 get one free. Well we used one case but Taylor won't eat them anymore. I returned the two cases and got full price for them so it was like we got a case for free. We walked over to Target and bought all you see below for $1.00. The clerks even tried to fight me, it was wonderful. It is funny how if you put up a little fight they will eventually cave. Then I transferred a prescription to CVS so I can get a $25 gift card. I'm getting a little crazy with the couponing and saving money. Glidden is giving away free quarts of paint on their website. I'm getting 5, I am sending them to everyone who will let me use their addresses. I know I'm sick but I love free things!! My house is so clean we don't even know what to do with ourselves. We bought an amazing carpet cleaner at Costco and have done the entire downstairs and have plans to do the upstairs next. Jason and the kids were wrestling on the super clean carpet and cleared out space.

The bridal shower went off without a hitch. Thank you SO MUCH Kara for all of you're help. I would be in a corner babbling and losing my mind without you! You're the BEST!!!

Thrilling Thursday

I went grocery shopping at Walmart today and as I was unloading the groceries. I realized I am crazy. I do not feel right unless my cupboards are COMPLETELY stocked. After taking this picture I realise there is a space on the top left that could hold more groceries. Not only is my pantry stocked I have a shelving unit I bought from Home Depot that also must be stocked at all times. It's a weird sickness. I do have a lot of mouths to feed, 3 grown men eat a lot of food. (That's my justification anyway.)
The craziest part is we are going to Costco tonight for more shopping.

Tyson is sure cute when he feels like it. His newest thing is shaking his butt at everyone. Where do they think of doing these things? I blame Spongebob.
We went to the Wizard of Oz yesterday. A few people we know were in the play. It was GREAT! Tyson and Mark were in heaven. Tyson has talked of nothing else but the wicked witch and the flying monkeys all day.
Tyson loves to bother Taylor, I think he secretly is trying to drive her(or me) crazy. Here she is peacefully chewing on a hanger and then he has to go lay on top of her.
Taylor is officially walking!!!
She is so big. It seems overnight she has grown up a ton. She has started dancing whenever music comes on and thinks she is hilarious.
I threw this picture in because it is a "REAL" smile from Jason. Whenever someone says "smile" he gets this face that looks like he is in physical pain and that's the face I have in all of my formal pictures. This is what he really looks like caught off guard. Isn't he a cutie?

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!!I wanted a nice picture of Jason and the kids, this is the best I have :)
I did get this cute gem this morning.

This was Jason's Fathers Day gift. A trip to the quick care.

He was helping move a couch for my cousin and ran his hand into a stair railing. The x-ray showed no broken bones but did finally tell us that he did break his wrist 2 years ago and now it has healed wrong and needs to be re-broken and have pins put in it. Or he can leave it how it is and it will bother him every now and then (all last weekend), and he will get arthritis in it when he gets older. What a Father's Day!
Would you believe he broke it 2 years ago at a church basketball game?

We went to the circus on Saturday and had a ton of fun.
Well, some more than others. Taylor fell asleep 20 minutes into the circus and did not wake up until the lights after the finale came on.
The tigers and elephants were everyone's favorite.
Tyson keeps talking about the bad clown that got cut in half. They had a ton of magic tricks in the show and of course they had to cut someone in half. We've told Tyson he had better not grow up to be a bad clown, because they get cut in half. Just teasing, but he is traumatised none the less.

Tyson got a toy motorcycle and we told him there would be a motorcycle in the show but alas, there wasn't. He can't wait to go next year. I think the circus will be our new family tradition. Mark had the best time. 57 years old and he was still was cheering and excited to see the circus. I guess some things are timeless :)

Picasa Problems

I am having problems blogging from Picasa. It will only let me do 4 pictures on a post and it will only let me put the pictures in the order I took them. It also will not let me write anything above the first picture. Any tips out there I would greatly appreciate them!!!

I love our house and that it is big enough for Tyson to ride his bike in but as you can see it is so full of clutter! So yesterday I just started throwing things away left and right. Do you ever do that? Sometimes things just bother me and bother me until I can't take it anymore and just start chucking everything in the trash. It's very therapeutic.
Taylor is always sucking her thumb and pulling her hair. Her second favorite thing to do is suck her thumb and pull my hair.
Two more Tyson sleeping pictures. I guess I am glad that he feels comfortable enough in our home to just pass out anywhere. It sure makes me laugh when I find him :)

part 2

Taylor has rediscovered this chair that Grandma brought at Thanksgiving. She loves it. If I ever can't find her she is either up the stairs or in this chair.
Taylor makes this face all the time and I think it is hilarious. I'm so glad I finally got it on film! She's such a silly girl.
Tyson's last t-ball game until October. (boo-hoo) Tyson talks about playing all week and then when he gets there he becomes crazy Tyson and takes two innings just to warm up. They only play three! My boy, where did we get him?!?

part 3

This is how my son spent his last t-ball game. He wouldn't run after the ball and we constantly were yelling at him to get his face out of his mitt.
Tyson has rediscovered the joy of fudgesicles. Wouldn't he make a great Gomez Adams? That mustache is priceless!

t-ball sign ups

Hey just a quick shout out. NYS is registering for fall t-ball. Their website is www.nysonline.org
We loved Tyson's first season and I have just mailed the check for the fall. The earlier you register the cheaper it is. They also have soccer, cheer and football.

Target drama

Well life has been a little crazy lately. To take a break from the madness I went to Target all by myself the other night after Jason got home. I had a lot of coupons that were going to expire soon and wanted to get some good deals. I walk in the store and see cottonelle toilet paper is on sale. I always buy Kirkland paper from Costco, but I had a coupon and thought why not? So I go through the store and did find some great deals. (Dove deodorant 2 pack for .50 cents) I check out and as I walk outside I am reviewing my bill. The cottonelle toilet paper cost $14.98. What the heck? The ad said it was on sale $6.99! I march right back in the store, up to customer service and demand for my money back. This little old lady calmly rescans the toilet paper and puts the difference on a Target gift card($8.08). I turn the toilet paper over and see that it had a redeem now coupon for a dollar. I demand that she also give me another dollar. She opens her till and hands me a dollar. Very pleased with myself and the money I've saved I walk past the weekly ads again and realize that the 12 pack of cottonelle is on sale and I have the 24 pack. I quickly run out of the store and cannot show my face again at Target for at least a week!

Our big surprise!!

So, we are PREGNANT!! We didn't know if we wanted to tell people yet or not but what the heck. We were not trying, I am still nursing and we are totally surprised! We had such a hard time getting pregnant with Tyson and Taylor, we are still scratching our heads about this one. My first doctor appointment is on June 24th and by then I should be two months along. We are super excited to add another baby to our crazy lives. Tyson says it's a boy and is already telling everyone about it. Please don't feel offended if I didn't call you personally and tell you. Life has been a little crazy lately. Taylor developed a viral infection in her mouth and can barely eat, Mark has oral surgery on Monday and we've been trying to get ready for that, Darrell is changing workshops due to biting someone at work, and I forgot how tired you get when you are first pregnant. If it's not one thing it's ten others!

my big boy!!

Tyson had his friend Brandon over and they were riding bikes in the house. Around and around they went, it was a solid half hour they did this. Then we decided to go outside. Tyson got his bike for Christmas and has NEVER ridden it outside. He was happy to get it, and that was what he wanted for Christmas, but he never was big enough to ride it all by himself which made him not want to ride it.
Tyson has two bikes because we got a free one from freecycle! Yeah freecycle. Which was perfect so we had an extra bike for Brandon.
The boys went up and down the cul de sac and thought they were so cool! What happened to my little boy?
Thanks so much Shalae! I can finally blog again!!!
