Shark Reef field trip

Tyson's class has been learning a ton about sharks and under water habitats.  They ended the year with a field trip to the Shark Reef.
 The kids were in heaven!
They knew almost every answer the tour guide asked.  We had a great guide, Steve, who was super funny & knowledgeable.  I would never go to the shark reef on my own. A personal tour guide is the only way to go.  The problem is, now Tyson has decided on his career path: tour guide at shark reef. (I guess one of my questions should have been, "How much do you make a year Steve?"
 We saw a Kimono dragon.
 He was huge!
Could you imagine having these huge fish? Crazy!
 Enthralled!

It was so fun to touch the sting rays. I love that my kids will participate.
I had never seen jelly fish up close.  They were awesome.  I think if I had some in my home I wouldn't get anything done and I would just sit and stare at them all day.
The kids loved seeing lion fish.  They had read a report all about them and how they are hurting the eco system in the Pacific Ocean.  People are getting them as pets from Asia and then releasing them into the ocean.  They eat tons and cannot be killed by other predators because of the poison they secrete.  Only sharks can eat them and not be affected by their poison.
We were taken into a back room and given a quick quiz about all we had learned.  We also got to "create" our own underwater creature.  We gave him all the different things that make underwater animals unique.  Eric was the creature, it was hysterical!
After the quiz and fun the kids were allowed to handle a bunch of different objects.
Super fun field trip.  The best part was spending time with my favorite boy!!

Ryan at 2

Ryan is a constant source of laughter and hair pulling in our lives.  She keeps us all on our toes.  Ryan has started doing this lovely squish face when asked to smile for pictures.
My favorite is to catch a real smile from her. Adorable!
Ryan is firmly attached to her "pappy".  I am trying to leave it at home more often when we go out and I do not let her take it to nursery.  Obsessed!
Ryan is a ham and loves dressing up.
She loves her best friend Ellie Mae.  They are only six days apart.
Ryan loves to take baths and we cannot say the "b" word unless we are totally ready for bath time.

She'll do anything to get a laugh or a rise out of us.  Such a goof!
Ryan loves to eat hard boiled eggs and will ask to eat them every day.
She has crazy dry skin and it is a constant fight to keep her eczema under control.
Ryan is my only baby who's eye color is changing.  Instead of blue her eyes are turning green (just like Mama :)
She still has the largest head I have seen on a baby ever.  It is always fun to get shirts over that huge noggin.  We have her up to 3T shirts and 18 month pants.  Gotta love a big headed shortie!
Ryan is turning into a total Daddy's girl.  She asks for him every morning and sadly says, "Daddy work", when she can't find him.
Ryan loves to sing.  She sings Twinkle, Twinkle, little star before bed, Old Mac Donald in the tub, and Wheels on the bus all day long.  She loves the babies saying Waa Waa and the Mommies saying Shhh.
She is crazy scared of the dark and always has been.  She'll lose it in the car unless a light is on.
Hayden can't say Ryan so she calls Ryan, "Ry-Ny".  I love it so much I usually call her that too :)
We are so lucky to have this fun, crazy, stubborn, amazing, hilarious little girl in our family.  We love you Ry-Ry!!

Ryan's 2nd Birthday

We started Ryan's birthday by taking Darrell to Special Olympics track.  He usually has a staff who takes him every Saturday but she was out of town this day and Jason was of course working, so I loaded the crew up and off we went.
The girls thought it was hilarious to run with Darrell.  I wonder if he thought it was equally hilarious?

After track we went up to Costco to get Ryan her birthday cake.  So fitting for our smallest princess!
The minute Ryan turned 2 years old she really embraced the terrible 2 title.  She screamed so much in the car this day that the kids were beside themselves with worry and I was hitting my limit so I put the girl in her room for a long nap.  After a very long day of freak outs Daddy got home and we had some friends over for cake, ice cream, and presents.
 Love blowing out candles!
Happy girl!  She has her Daddy and sugar what else could a devil child want?
She loved opening presents and went ballistic if anyone tried to help.

Her huge gift was this baby doll that talks and can be held in a baby carrier.

While she loved all her gifts she really loved the dollar store compact mirror she is clutching in her right hand.  So nuts!  Gotta love our terrible 2 princess!!

Tyson's two front teeth

So Tyson had nine days to pull out his two front teeth.  I told him I would pay him $20 if he did it himself.  D Day came and we were off to the dentist.
After getting his shot, he could not get over how weird everything felt.  He started talking like a crazy and being nuts.

He sat really well even after the teeth flew out of his mouth.  Actually flew!  Those suckers were not coming out and the dentist used so much pressure to get them out they flew! (I have been having nightmares since of flying teeth!!)
Toothless kid.  It's amazing he can eat anything!

So nasty!  The new tooth on top is so big that he needs to get a brand new night guard.  It will be in in a couple of weeks.  I love him, but doesn't he look just like the guy from The Goonies, Sloth?   All he needs is for me to shave his hair crazy and put some prosthetic skin here and there on his face.  "Hey, you guys!!"

Tigers end of season party

Taylor and Hayden's t-ball team the Tigers decided to have their end of season party at the dinosaur park.  It was warm and the cupcakes were very melty.  Good thing nothing stops Ryan from diving into a cupcake :)
The weather was hot but the water was cold.  Gotta love it!
Ryan was a little hesitant because of the cold water.
 Love matching bathing suits!

Hayden was so excited to get her first trophy.  She had been carrying Taylor's last year's trophy around which caused a ton of fighting.
Way to go girls!  We had 6 girls on our team this season and for some reason the normal trophies were back ordered so they upgraded us to these free of charge!  They are so awesome, you can't tell from the picture but the entire baseball is bedazzled!!
                                                         Pure happiness!!
                                                     Yeah for baseball!!!!
