sick days

These three kids are going to be the death of me! All three have been sick for two weeks and I am at the end of my rope! The coughing, the hacking, the runny noses... it goes on and on! Tyson was sick first and gave it to the girls. On Monday night I was in the ER with Hayden and they tested her and said she has RSV. It's not really a bad case but we have to keep a close eye on her. Taylor has finally gotten over the fevers and only has the cough left. The problem is you don't want to take the kids anywhere, because when they start coughing people look at you like you are horrible for taking them in public.Today we got our new couch! We are so excited to have an ottoman. Simple pleasures :)
Another new purchase this week was a new microwave. Ours decided to stop heating things up all of a sudden.
Hayden is getting so big and more alert. I think she sees she had better hurry and try to keep up with/escape from her brother and sister.
Tyson passed out on the bottom stair on Wednesday after his last day of our co-op preschool. It was hilarious!
He slept there for 3 hours and never fell off once!!
Here is Hayden in her first pair of jeans :)
A picture with all three kids looking at the camera and looking half decent...
...a miracle!
Now if only they would get better already!!!

prayers

Does anyone remember Thomas S. Monson asking for all the members of the church to pray for him at our last General Conference? Well I decided we would pray for the prophet at every meal. Tyson is usually our resident prayer guy at meal time so I thought it would be a great way for him to not only pray for the prophet but to also learn the name of our prophet. For months he would pray for Thomas the train instead of Thomas S. Monson. Then he stopped saying Thomas all together because we kept correcting him and would only pray for "our prophet S. Monson". I am happy to report Tyson is finally praying for our prophet THOMAS S. MONSON!!! The only problem now is that Thomas the train and S. Monson are really missing out on blessings!! :) Oh, I love this crazy nut!!!

terrible twos are here!

We are having a heck of a time with this little girl! I guess the terrible twos have come sooner than we thought they would. Yesterday we were somewhere with a wishing fountain, Taylor kept putting her hand in it and liking it. Now I am not one of those Mom's that are crazy about germs, I feel if the kids are going to get sick, they are going to get sick. But because we are in public, and because we don't know what is in the fountain water, I have to keep telling her no, don't drink nasty fountain water. Taylor gets so angry she balls up her fists and comes running with her fists held high over her head to hit me. I ask you, what the heck?!? When did kids start thinking it was OK to hit your parents? I didn't care where we were, that girl got a butt spank and was not let near the fountain again. I ordered these things online and I think they are the greatest. I haven't gotten Taylor's ears pierced, they are temporary tattoos! We got flowers, strawberries, skulls, and ladybugs. Isn't that hilarious!! They make me smile every time I see them. Too cute!
We also painted toenails for the first time. Taylor loved it. I didn't try her fingernails yet, I'm not that brave :)

She also had her hair done in full pigtails by our friend Kristin, we laughed all night at how far they stuck out from her head. Girls are so much fun!!

This is usually what happens when Jason or I sit down for a minute. It seems the kids have to swarm you and try to get any attention they can.

Tyson's friend Brandon came over the other day, it was great because he totally distracted Tyson and Taylor from fighting with each other.
They ran around so much and got so tired by the time Brandon went home that we didn't have to scream and fight to get them to bed that night! Thanks, Brandon!!
They are three of the silliest kids you'll ever want to meet!

Tyson woke up this morning with a temperature of 100.6 and has a horrible cough. The rest of us have allergies out the wazoo. I like the spring but it sure is not doing us too many favors this year. I can't wait for the summer when everyone is too hot to get sick!!!

March Madness

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids doing their favorite things: Tyson being crazy.. ...and Taylor sucking her thumb while pulling on her hair.
This was a rare find at DI the other day. It came in it's original package and everything!
We can't believe Hayden is already 5 weeks old! She sure loves her bouncer.
She is not too big a fan of the car seat, but once the car gets going she will usually calm down.
Our friend Kristin loaned us her amazing baby swing, it goes front and back, side to side with rotating birds and leaves above head while playing songs or natural wood sounds. Can you believe that? What they won't think of next!
Tyson passed out like this the other day, sitting in an Elmo chair while sitting on the coach. Don't you love his pajamas? They're my favorite. The monster truck was his other DI find, it lights up and everything. Side note, You may notice that Taylor has no DI finds, the reason: Daddy was in charge of finding her something and was too snobby to get her anything. What is a mother to do? Jason has now been outlawed from coming with me to the thrift stores :)
Taylor passed out on the floor the other day, which is rare for her. The problem was she didn't get her nap thanks to 11am church. So around 6 pm we find her like this.
I do complain about the dog, but she sure puts up with a lot of abuse and the kids love her!
Nickel even helps put the kids to sleep :)
Grandma and Grandpa sent the girls these matching dresses and it was so fun dressing them up and taking pictures! Taylor is finally getting kissing down and is giving Hayden a kiss.
Taylor looks like she is smiling but she is really yelling at the camera and trying to hit it :)
Here's the whole gang. Aren't they cute?
Now if only they would, stop fighting, messing up the house, spilling food everywhere, teasing the dog, destroying their toys, ruining their clothes, stealing Mark's things out of his room, bossing Darrell around, jumping off the furniture...
The list goes on and on!
