flashback friday

I have not taken any pictures of the kids this week so I am recycling older pictures that I don't think anyone has seen. The kids seem to be getting so big, it is fun to look back every now and then. Taylor seems to be getting older and older by the day. She doesn't want us to do anything for her, she is very independent. However, we did watch a baby yesterday and you have never seen a girl as jealous as Taylor was! It was pretty funny.
This is Taylor in her Christmas dress. I love the frills!
Tyson is probably the prettiest boy I've ever seen. I've heard someone comment on a picture of his, "That's a boy?" Watch out ladies, those dimples are gonna get you!
Taylor was such a big baby she was in the 90+ percentile for her first few doctor appointments, now she's in the 25%. She is walking and trying to run everywhere so I am not surprised she has lost some of the chunk. She has retained the checks though. Lucky girl, she won't be too happy about that when she's older. This was Taylor and her first jean skirt.
Tyson has the craziest laugh. I would say it's a laugh with gusto. Here he thought he was hilarious wearing cowboy boots. He is also sporting the ouchies he got while falling out of a doll stroller at the babysitters.
I was worried when he was younger about his shoe obsession. I am glad to report he has grown out of, but I still have these pictures for blackmail.
I will start taking real pictures of the kids again. It just seems that we have not done anything too fun to take pictures of. We've had a ton of doctor appointments with Mark. He is out of the hospital and getting back to normal. We thought he would have to move out because we could not take care of him and how badly his health had turned. It was pretty rough for a while. He couldn't stand or do anything for himself, he was a human blob. On top of that he was throwing himself on the floor and I hurt my back again picking him up. He's doing a lot better after his 3 day hospital stay. I don't know if he feels better or if he is just trying super hard because he hated the hospital and never wants to go there again. Who knows?! If I could understand the mind of the disabled adult this would all be much easier!
Hope everyone has a fun Friday!

Our weekend

Tyson loved Pioneer Days. Here he is in the jump house. He has informed us that he is getting a jump house for his birthday AND Christmas. He also loved the slides.
Taylor loved trying to escape from our little area. Here she is with my wonderful cousin Kara, who helped us paint all day and then helped us all night with our little escape artist.

Here's Kara helping with the kitchen paint job.
I don't know what the child labor laws are like in Vegas but I'm sure we'd be in trouble with these pictures!
Taylor was so funny with the tape. She loved taking it off and was very serious about her job.

The kids are available by the hour and they're pretty reasonably priced!!

pregnancy stinks!

I just got a baby ticker on the blog. I was so excited it actually looked like a baby and not an alien! 3 months down 6 more to go!! Does anyone love being pregnant? It's a nightmare this time around. I was talking to someone who had 4 children and they told me it only gets worse with each pregnancy and now I feel a little better. I thought I was being a total wimp this time. She was telling me that each kid has already taken so much out of you that by number 3 and 4 it's a lot rougher. I can't imagine those poor ladies with 6 or more!!!
I remember being tired with the other two, but now if I sit down for a minute I pass out. Which happened yesterday. We went to Mt. Charleston for a play date and got rained out. I honestly only walked to our picnic site, set up two chairs, had lunch, got rained on and came home. I walk in the door take care of the kids and passed out on the couch. I wake up 5 MINUTES later. Tyson is naked and has dumped tons of ice out of the ice maker. What the heck!?!! Even if I wanted to take it easy how could I with this devil child? I know the good Lord is giving me extra points in heaven for not killing this boy.

too cute

I was trying to get a picture of Taylor and the stinkin' cameras always have the delay so she almost got me before I could snap this picture. It seems like she has turned into a little person over night. She tells you if she doesn't like something and is trying so hard to talk to us. She says hi and bye and waves. She is getting so fast walking, she tries so hard to run from Tyson if she sees him coming after her but she always gets tripped up and ends up on the floor. (Isn't this the cutest outfit ever? Thanks Misty!!!) Tyson loved helping Taylor open her birthday presents.
This is from our friend Kristin. She works with the guys but we consider her a friend more than a staff. (Isn't that the cutest tea set ever?)
Grandma DeMille sent a package which we loved. But the packing peanuts sure were the best part for the kids.

Kristin's son Dean had his 2nd birthday party at the Leid Children's Discovery Museum. It was really fun and the kids had a blast.
In Vegas we have turtles all over our freeway and they look a lot like this guy. Whenever we are driving Tyson is on the lookout for turtles.
This is a wind tunnel that got up to 80 miles per hour. Tyson LOVED it, Jason had to deal with flying drool coming out of Taylor. Gotta love teething!

You could actually change a tire in here and use that rolling thing to go under the car. It was too cute.
This had to be my favorite, I love dressing them up. It's a sickness I know! But isn't he the CUTEST firefighter you've ever seen?

I have used the word "cute" excessively in this post and will try to refrain from over using it in the future!!!

Taylor is 1!!

My little girl is 1!!!!
The time has flown by! Taylor has been the best baby. She is the best eater and sleeper. She loves to play with Tyson and Nickel. She has been a thumb sucker from the first and loves to play with hair, her own, mine, or dolls. She started walking on Father's Day and we haven't been able to slow her down since. She is waving and saying Hi and Bye. She dances to any song that comes on, even the hymns at church : )
I make Jason take funny pictures before we go in to have the babies. I think it is a fun tradition. Here I am giving the thumbs up before the c-section.

Here is Jason's pose. Jason is oblivious the whole nine months of pregnancy and then it hits him in the hospital, that we are actually bringing a baby home now.
Here's our girl.
I remember I had never heard a baby scream so much. She stopped after 5 minutes straight and everyone in the room made a sigh sound. She was only taking a break though. It went on for twenty minutes more, until she was held by her Mommy!
I remember after the doctor pulled her head out I heard a huge gasp and the doctor saying look at those cheeks! I was 4 days over due, we tried to have a V-bac(vaginal birth after C-section) but this girl was too comfortable in there and wouldn't come. So we had a repeat c-section and the doctor kept saying she was glad. A 9pound 11 oz baby would have been awful, and I agree!
Taylor was such a big girl we had to move her into number 1 diapers in the hospital, but it was nice to have her actually fit in all of her clothes. Tyson wasn't too thrilled in the hospital.
The second we walked in the door Tyson asked if Taylor could play with him. It was the cutest thing ever. This was the best we could do. He loves being a big brother.
It has been so fun to have a girl. I love all the clothes and dolls and girly things. Taylor is so easy going she doesn't protest too much when I change her outfit three times a day :)
Taylor wasn't too sure of what to do with the candle.
You've got to love the destroying the cake pictures!
I understand the arms and mouth but why the forehead? What are we teaching this girl?
Happy Birthday Taylor! We love you!!!

mud baths

Tyson has been putting dirt in the pool for quite a while and yesterday I was tired of it so I drained the pool. With these pools they give you this stupid little pump that always breaks two weeks into summer. The problem was it turned into Jason's project because of my back. The kids loved the mud it made. (Agh!) Taylor would not listen to us, we moved her at least 10 times away from the muddy water. This is the before picture.
And this is the after picture. The head first dive into the mud was not too fun apparently. Even better was the wash up with the hose :)
We stripped the kids naked and turned the hose on them. The problem with Tyson was that all his clothes were in the dryer so he was waiting for them to dry but didn't quite make it. Jason had a good time trying to dress a sleeping boy!
Jason refilled the pool but didn't get the base right and now it leans to the side and looks like it is going to fall over any minute. Man I want a "real" pool. Someday, someday...

It's officially official

We finally had all of our doctor appointments. I had an ultrasound Thursday and a FULL examination today. The baby is doing great. I already heard the heart beat and have cute little pictures of our baby. My official due date is January 29th 2010. I can't wait to find out what we're having. I hate surprises, I know a lot of people are opting to be surprised nowadays, but no way! It would make me crazy! Tyson tells everyone there is a baby boy in Mommy's belly and he thinks every time I go to the doctor the baby is coming out. We're in for a long 6 1/2 months!! I really don't care if it's a girl or boy, just as long as I don't kill the two I already have! It seems lately they've turned into devil children and are hell bent on driving me to drink! The back is finally getting better, slowly but surely. I bent down for something on Tuesday and it popped in three places which helped with the walking just not the bending. Man I hate being old! (I'll post pictures tomorrow of the kids Grandma and Grandpa! Taylor took a lovely mud bath today :)

Nebraska

Oh my goodness, I am in Nebraska! (Nebraska is code for hell, I started saying Nebraska years ago to cut down on my swearing) Anyway, I am in Nebraska! I was cleaning Tyson's amazingly dirty room last night(Mon), I stand up after sorting through a billion toys and pop. Next thing I know I am on the floor in pain. Something has happened in my back, I can barely walk or stand, I am in Nebraska! I knew this would happen after I turned 30! My body is systematically rejecting how old it is. I have been hobbling around all day like an old man and because I'm pregnant all I can take is Tylenol! Tylenol seriously? They're as effective as pez candies! Have I entered middle age? Is this what happens? Is this why people have mid-life crisis's? Your body starts attacking you and falling to bits, what's next?

DeMille family reunion

We survived the DeMille family reunion. While driving home Jason and I gave the trip a solid B rating. The driving wasn't bad, two hours each way. Everyone did pretty well in the car. The first night was pretty rough we all slept in the living room. Having 6 people plus a dog in one room trying to sleep was a bit crazy. Jason's great Grandma has this clock that chimes the hour each hour. Grandma is now missing a clock. :)
We went to the reunion and Tyson had the most fun pushing Taylor around in her stroller.
They had all this open land so he would just run and run with her.

Jason's grandpa's brother (got that?) built this train. The cars are water barrels and have little lawn chairs in there with seat belts. This was Tyson when we told him it wasn't time to ride yet.

This is Tyson riding the first time, you've never seen a happier boy!!
Here is Uncle Brent driving and Jason, Taylor and Tyson riding.
Darrell even took a turn : )
We scheduled our day wrong. We should have left after lunch, had naps and then gone back for the rest of the reunion. We had to leave before dinner and missed the fireworks. Our kids passed out. This was Taylor after her train ride.
This was my favorite picture of the day. Jason was swinging Tyson on the swings and then starts yelling for the camera. Tyson was just going back and forth dead asleep. We were so glad he kept holding on long enough for us to get a picture. Don't worry we got him off there before he fell, what kind of parents do you think we are?!?
The worst part of the day was our dog. She bit through her leash and then broke her collar beyond repair. And of course no one wanted to be near a "vicious" pitbull. I think next trip we will be leaving her home, she was such a brat the whole time. We've taken her on several trips and have never had problems.
It was fun to see Jason's Grandma and his family. I got to go to Hogi Yogi (my favorite!) and the kids really enjoyed the whole trip. Tyson cried for 20 minutes into the drive home, he didn't want to leave. The dog however got in the van while Jason was packing it up and wouldn't get out. Mark woke up Sunday morning just saying "Home" over and over again.
I threw this picture in of Taylor. You've got to love fudgesicles!

This little adventure earned her a quick trip straight to the tub.

Hope everyone had a fun 4th of July!
