11th Anniversary

Jason and I got to go to Disneyland by ourselves for our 11th Anniversary!
I have never been able to ride Autotopia before because the little kids can't go so this trip I finally got to go.  Super fun!
We loved being able to sit next to each other on rides.
We also found this awesome trophy :)
I can no longer say I make this face for the kids benefit, it's just my face on rides I guess.

Jason & I love the rapids ride but the kids hate it.
I was kind of hating it too!  We had 8 adults in our raft and everyone was soaked from head to toe!
Jason and this girl from Australia got it the worst.
We did the Buzz ride together for the 1st time.  It was an intense battle but Jason pulled out the win.
We left before dinner and headed up to IKEA for the night.  Ryan was in need of a dresser and I am always in need of visiting my favorite place.  Can't beat the chocolate cake for dessert!
Isn't Jason's shirt the best?  He is not a shopper but I forced him to buy it. He has already been complimented on it a ton.  The best part is the back, it has Yoda standing on a beat up Storm Trooper helmet.  Hilarious!
Best Anniversary Ever!!  (Thanks Mom & Aunt Linda!)

Death Valley Day 2

We had an eventful night on our one night of camping.  The wind picked up sometime in the middle of the night and made the boys tent cave in.  Tyson had already been removed from the boys tent and was sleeping in the van.  Apparently at our gas station/brothel stop while searching for a shirt for Ryan, Jason & Tyson stumbled on a rated X area.  They had a blanket of Pam Anderson totally nude.  Jason thought he got Tyson out of there in time but I overheard Tyson telling his friends all about it.  We have had several talks about appropriate conversation.  That's what happens when you stop at a gas station/brothel!
Here are the kids cleaning up our camping game while the adults took down camp.
After cleaning up it was time for hiking.  Hayden came down with a croup cough in the night so we sat this one out.

After the hike we were off to the dunes.  When we pulled up I saw all these people with their shoes off and thought they were crazy.  By the time we left I was carrying quite a few shoes, including my own.  If I wasn't the Mom and had to clean up all the dirt everywhere this would have been fun :)

Our three beautiful girls.

We went to the lowest point in the northern hemisphere.  There is a sign in the middle of this mountain that says "Sea Level".  So crazy!
It is covered with salt and the kids had to try it out.

Hayden actually got this huge chunk back to the car before I confiscated it.  She kept saying yummy while I was strapping her seat belt on.  Such a nut!
This picture is so funny because I was freaking out the whole time.  The kids are sitting on a ledge with a 10 foot drop behind them and then beyond that is about a 50 foot drop.  The mountain behind them is amazing with paths along all the tops of those ridges.  So pretty!
It was a quick and fun trip but I don't know if I'd ever go again.  I like to camp with trees and nature, there was a bunch of rock and dirt to see.  Death Valley, checked off the list :)

Death Valley

We heard that our friends the Drew's were going to go camping to Death Valley and invited ourselves along for the fun.  I was talking with Toni on Friday night and we left Saturday morning.  I am getting too spontaneous in my old age :)
Here is the crew at Father Crawley's look out.
We camped at the Pennement camp ground and took a hike to see their waterfall.

We stopped around this huge boulder we had to climb over.  It lead to a ledge you had to hold onto to get to the waterfall.  I'm sure the Drew's could have made it but we had Darrell, Ryan, and accident prone Hayden so we opted to turn back around.
Ryan is sporting this "lovely" alien shirt because 30 minutes out of town she puked all over her clothes.  We stopped at a gas station/brothel somewhere outside of Death Valley and this was the only child clothing they sold.
Adorable :)
The boys got to pass off a requirement for their Wolf, cooking outdoors.  Jason brought charcoal and we made hobo dinners and hot dogs.  We had tons of S'mores for dessert.  Perfect camping food.
As we were all sitting around the fire Hayden was sitting in an adult chair and leaned too far over and fell in the fire!  I was standing right there and ripped that child up so fast and grabbed any water near and got her hand rinsed off.  She, I am happy to report, didn't even burn.  She is now 2 for 2; 2 camping trips 2 falls in the fire. Such a nut!

Valentines Day

For Valentines the kids were off of school and we decided to go to Macayos for lunch.  We were not up to fighting the crowds for dinner :)  Here are the kids modeling their new Valentine shirts.
The kids love the chips and salsa, well really who doesn't?

This girl is an eater and was so happy when we made her plate up.  Pretty soon we will be buying her her own meal.
 Happy Valentines Day!!

Valentine party day

This year all of our Valentine parties happened on the 13th due to no school on the 14th.  We started the day off at Niki's house for our Mommy preschool party.  Valentine passing out was hilarious.  If the kids see candy they must eat it that second.

 Adorable food :)
 Adorable crafts (supplied by me).
Super cute games, this is blow a paper heart into a bucket.
The best Valentine ever! The kids loved these, thanks Suzie!
After the preschool party I was off to Tyson's school for his party.  We played Minute To Win It games.  I know I say it every time but this was the funnest party yet.  Here the kids are transferring conversation hearts from one bowl to another with pencils.  It was awesome how intense the competition was.

Next was the cookie on the forehead game.  So funny!
Then it was on to how tall you could stack your conversation hearts in a minute.
Our last game was the candy corn stick up.  You had to bite the end off of a candy corn to make it stand on your plate.
We finished up our games and then it was outside for run time.
Taylor's class came out for the buddy bench dedication and to hear the Mayor speak.
The theme of the talk was to be kind.  Super nice.
When we got back to the classroom it was snack time and time to pass out Valentines.
 Tyson had so much fun!
Such a fun day!! We love Valentines Day!!!
