Last day at Knotts

When we checked the weather report it had a 80% chance of rain.  We went to the closest Target and bought rain ponchos just to be safe.  Right as we pulled up to Knotts Berry Farm it started pouring.  We debated about not going and then just decided to tough it out.
Ryan was against keeping her hat on and refused to keep her gloves on.  The only reason her poncho was still on was she couldn't figure how to get it off.
The kids love this mini roller coaster and went on it 3 times in a row. Not many people like rain hitting them in the face.  My crazies do :)
Tyson's pants got wet and he sported this rolled up look for most of the day.  Took me back to 1985 and pants cinching :)

The kids went on the log ride 4 times in a row. Rain ponchos are awesome!
I love Hayden! Everyone will smile for the camera even if they are wet and miserable but this girl will tell it like it is.  Her face pretty much sums up the day.
This was after warming up a bit. I love Ryan's new smile, she squishes her whole face when you tell her to smile.  It always ends up making her look like she's angry. Hilarious!
Taylor has my hair and we were both sporting some awesome looks the rest of the day.
Tyson, Jason, and I love the raging river ride.  It had stopped raining but we were still wet so Tyson got to go on back to back rides with Mom and then Dad before we took the ponchos off for the day.
We found these lovely ladies to take pictures with. I didn't notice Tyson's hand until I took the picture. That kid!
Ryan thought this Mountain Dew bottle was the best chew toy.  I'm sure we looked like parents of the year. She held onto that thing for hours.
I love snowmen and had to snap a picture of this tree.  So fun!
In the afternoon the rain stopped and these huge puffy clouds were left.  Crazy weather!
We finally got a covered pioneer wagon to watch the western show in.
Only to be told it was cancelled due to the rain causing technical difficulties.
Jason decided he had to have an ice cream funnel cake after that. I would have taken a picture of it but the kids swarmed Jason and it was gone in 2 seconds flat. We went back over to Camp Snoopy and had some fun there.
Ryan is finally liking all the little kid rides she can go on.  It must be all these trips :)
Poor Ryan's face!  We had gone to the Target pharmacy and bought all these over the counter medications to help but her poor face was beyond over the counter medicine.  When we got home the doctor said her excema on her leg had become in infected and caused an infection throughout her body.  All the kids have had an excema problem they have grown out of and we have never had excema get infected.  So freaky! We found the cheapest thing they sell in the park. A sucker for .35cents.
This is the face on a Mom who is done.  I could not feel my feet by this time. They had been wet all day and I was freezing!
We went back to the later show and saw our favorite western guys.  It was so cold but people still sat in the splash zone. Nuts!
Even though the kids know what is going to happen they still laugh at all the jokes.
Fun vacation! Can't wait to do it again next month :)

  1. Oh my gosh! I still would have went in the rain too, but would have been MISERABLE. I'm impressed you don't have picture after picture of kid meltdowns. I'm pretty sure I would.

I wish my hair looked like that after a day of rain! I would look like a drowned rat.
