Legoland Day #2

On the second day of our trip we went to the aquarium and then spent the rest of the day at the water park.

They had the hugest Japanese crab I have ever seen in my life, isn't that the freakiest thing ever?
Jason begged and begged the kids to take a picture with him in this huge set of teeth.  Ryan was the only taker :)

All the kids put their hands in the water but I think Tyson was the only one who actually touched the animals.
Taylor was the only brave one to stand by the shark.
After the aquarium we walked through mini lego land.  Wouldn't that be an awesome job to have?  All day just building replicas of landmarks.  It would, sadly, be my dream job.  I say sadly because it shows how nerdy I really am!
Isn't this awesome?  They even have the bikers jumping in the air.  Too funny!
This of course was Jason's favorite part, gotta love the bay area.
I wish I was that Mom who could buy their kids random junk from theme parks.  Seriously when would they ever wear these hats again?  I have them try them on and then make them put them back on the shelf.

Tyson has a thing about getting wet if he is not wearing his swim clothes so we couldn't ride these rides until he was properly attired.  I love this picture of them heading off dry while the people who were just on the ride are soaked.
They made a valiant attempt to avoid the people shooting on the sidelines.
But they were not too successful.
Hayden loves playing in the water but gets so cold her lips turn blue.  We have to bundle her up and get her warmed up and then she goes off and plays some more.
After the water park and before going home for the night we told the kids they could play 2 games each.  You had to knock 3 pirate people down to win, that didn't happen so then they moved on to the next game.
On this one you had to get the ball in the bucket and it couldn't come out.  So much harder than you would think.  We walked away empty handed :(
Before closing we had to get one last stop in to the hero factory place and make our own hero factory guys.
Hayden had to say good bye to her lego people.  I think she was telling this one to stay.  That girl had us cracking up the whole trip, what a personality!
Our final day we went to my favorite ever IKEA and a quick visit to the beach...

  1. Tyson is very, very smart. You get soaked on that ride and it is miserable to be wet in anyting but swimwear.

Building anything out of Lego's as my job would be torturous to me. I have never enjoyed them, and can't even force myself to play with them with my kids. It is so incredibly boring to me!

  2. I love that we have the same pictures of Legoland and the Aquarium. I was totally scared of the Japanese Spider Crab! And I was not a fan of 1 adult 1 child per ride, they were strict on the height restrictions.
