Legoland Day 4

Legoland Day 4!
They have an Xbox area where you can play all the lego and bionicle games.  I just love Jason's face in this picture, it's the "I am totally absorbed in a video game, please don't bother me" face.
Taylor was pushing so many buttons the attendant had to run over before she ruined the game :)

Tyson loves these kinds of slides and would have been happy to ride them all day long.
Taylor was a little more hesitant.
I did go down as well but this is the only picture to evidence it.
Isn't that Darth Vader awesome?  One day I will make one for Tyson.  Wouldn't that be hilarious to have in your home?  It would be quite the conversation starter :)
We thought it would be a lot less busy on Monday and Tuesday but we were sadly mistaken.  During the week is when the summer schools come for field trips.  For the rest of the day we went to the water park and hung out.  On to day five!!!  The Legoland saga is coming to an end!!!

Legoland Day 3

Legoland day 3!
While we were there Legoland was having Star Wars days.  They had tons of people dressed as Star wars characters and a costume contest.  Legoland has just recently built Star Wars mini-land.  It was really cool but was lacking the death star which I thought was weird.

They have this fun play area with tons of slides and a little train to ride.
Hayden is a fearless crazy and only goes down slides head first.  She gets very angry with you if you try to help her.  She climbs up ladders herself and then grins really big while hurling down the slide.  I worry about this one!
On this ride you had to be 4 years old to ride which really stunk because Taylor loves horses and really wanted to go on it.  Tyson loved it, I really think Legoland is a bit wierd about their requirements with rides.
I was the lucky one to go on this bouncing ride with the kids.
We loved this ride but of course Tyson hated it because things pretend fell down and it really freaked him out.
Tyson has a few Bionicle figurines but I thought they were freaky so when he broke one I gladly threw it away.  We have now rediscovered how fun they are and I regret the throwing away incident.  He has a birthday in a few months :)
He did talk us into getting him a lego set.  He got a Star Wars ship with a bunch of clone troopers and 2 jar jar binks.  He loved that there are so many figurines and actually put on a show with his lego people yesterday.  Should I be worried that the show involved many figurines losing their heads?
We left a little early and went to the Carlsbad beach.  Tyson was worried all day long about being eaten by a shark, stung by a jellyfish, pinched by a crab, or eaten by an octopus.  It got so bad that on the way to the beach I shouted, "Tyson, if you get bitten, pinched, or stung by any ocean animal I will buy you every single lego that has ever been made!"
Jason of course managed to find the only crabs on the beach and catch them in one of our beach toys.  And of course several people left the beach because a fin was spotted in the distance!  I did not tell Tyson about the fin!!!
On the way home Tyson actually said, "Mom, I've learned my lesson about the beach."  Classic Tyson, freak out forever and then realize it's not half as bad as you were thinking!
Taylor was not a fan of the sand that got Everywhere.  This picture cracks me up :)
Hayden LOVED the sand.  She ate it, wore it, layed in it, used it as a hair product, in short; LOVED IT!  This girl is such a character, she really keeps us on our toes.
I have discovered that I love putting legos together!  They are like mini puzzles and I think they are so much fun.  Tyson usually puts together the people and leaves me the rest :)
On to day four...

Legoland Day 2

Legoland Day 2
We came ready to go to the water park.  Since the mornings are so cold we decided to go through the aquarium first and then onto the water park when it warmed up.
They had a fun play area with fish all over, it was really cool.

The kids loved seeing all of the fish and different sea animals.
The kids refused to stand by this shark, pansies :)
They were fine with SpongeBob however.
Hayden is a water crazy!  She loves being in the water and loves splashing and being a nut.  Who knew?!  All day we were constantly trying to keep her head above water.  She would want to walk in the wading pool but wouldn't want us near her.  Then she would fall over and get water in her face, only to do it 10 more times.
Tyson loved the water park.  They had slides that went down into a small wading pool.  It only got 2 feet deep so he had no fear of getting water in his face.  He acted like we were torturing by making him get out to eat lunch.
Legoland also had a pirate water area with an awesome ship and water features.  The water was  really cold so we didn't last too long there.
After a day of water we went to San Diego to my favorite place: IKEA!!  Oh IKEA, how I love that place!!  Why isn't there one in Las Vegas?  I ask you, who do I need to petition to get one here?
On to day three...

Legoland (Day 1)

Legoland!!!!
We went to Legoland for 5 days and had a great time.  This is my attempt to get a first picture of the kids all excited to go for the first day.
Bob the builder is a favorite in our house.
Hayden is walking a ton but still likes to crawl if she needs to get somewhere really fast.
Our one and only attempt at a 4-D movie.  The last 4-D movie Tyson went to he was forcibly taken out kicking and screaming.  He hates it when water is squirted at his face.  He sat through the movie but complained about the water the rest of the day!

This was our first boat ride that took us all around mini lego land.  Totally awesome!!

Legoland had this great mother's lounge where we spent a lot of time.  Hayden loved playing with these really big legos.
Taylor was so happy to be driving these mini lego cars, she kept crashing into to everything and everyone.  She did it with a smile, so no one was too upset with her.
Tyson was really serious about driving and did a great job.
Jason logged a lot of rides, he would ride with one kid and then get off and ride with the next.
 He secretly loved it :)
This is how our 1st day ended.  It was finally Mom's turn to take the kids.  We went on a pirate ship that twists and turns all over the place.  Tyson had to pee (isn't that face hilarious?), Taylor had just gotten a butt spank for not listening to the ride attendant, and the ride made me want to hurl.
On to day two...

The circus

We went to the circus last Thursday and had a blast! We try to go every year and our whole family loves it.
We entered a drawing to win this picture the elephant was painting. I am such a loon, I really was getting worried if we had won, I didn't know where in the world I would display an elephant made painting :)

Get Tyson a snow cone and he is busy the whole time. Now Jason needs to get a second job to pay for it!!

Now that I have lost a little weight my neck is doing weird things and I have old flabby person neck. We are done with hcg and now onto Weight Watchers. Woohoo!

Hayden loved the circus but kept trying to escape out of our row. Chase is her new favorite game.

The kids love the elephants...

...Taylor is crazy about horses, and...

...they are all terrified of the tigers!

This dude did a publicity stunt for the circus the night before and shot himself out of a cannon on the strip.

Here he is flying through the air, the problem was he is also on fire! His name is the human torch and now we know why. The kids were very upset that he was on fire. Whenever I see these stunts I just feel so sad for the stunt person's mother. Why would a person act like this and worry their poor mother to death?

The elephant finale! We stayed until they were done and then got on the road to San Diego. More pictures to follow...we just lived through 5 days at Legoland and have tons of stories :)
