Taylor is 2!!!

My girl is 2 years old!!!  Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen?  Our friend Kristin got Taylor this adorable Minnie Mouse costume and Taylor was in HEAVEN!
She even fell asleep in it :)                                         Don't you love Costco cakes?  The only problem is you get a little tired of it after a couple of days but you can't let all that good cake go to waste!I threw this picture in because this girl is just too cute.  That is Taylor's new ballerina barbie she is chewing on.Taylor got some amazing presents if I do say so myself.  I am trying to do really good this year and get presents at great prices.  The scooter has to be my best buy.  It was totally free!  I got it from the Disney rewards club for entering all the codes out of all of our Disney movies.  She loved it, but I think Tyson has used it the most. She also got her favorite thing ever: chapstick, which she promptly put on Tyson.  What a good big brother! The scooter has Snow White and the seven dwarfs on it and it is just the perfect size for her.                    Taylor loved the card her Aunt and Uncle sent.  She is all girl and loves princesses.  Thanks Matt and Mele!We went bowling with friends for Taylor's birthday.  She was not really into it.  She was fascinated by the ball return though.Grandma and Grandpa sent a great package with a really fun princess dress and shoes to match.  Taylor LOVED them, Thanks!!!Tyson has decided he is an amazing bowler so we took Daddy bowling today to show him how great he is.Tyson would bowl and then turn around and give us this face.  Which he could never quite pull off without cracking up.  What a nut!Matching outfits are my most favorite things in the world.  Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa!
Taylor at 2
She LOVES Mickey Mouse and asks to watch Mickey Mouse clubhouse daily.
Taylor is crazy about hair!
She loves to torture her big brother and dogs his footsteps relentlessly.
Taylor calls all dogs Nickel and runs up to any dogs she sees.
She loves to swim.
Taylor eats everything.
She has NO fear (which terrifies her mother).

meltdown

Growing up we had rabbits. One time a rabbit got out of it's cage and we thought it ran away. Well it didn't get far. It died in the backyard under a bunch of old wood. A few weeks later we found the bones and stuff of our rabbit and I will never forget the smell of decomp(that's CSI lingo). I've only found one other smell like decomp: grown man urine. We've been having a rough patch with the guys, Mark in particular. I have tried to save the carpet but Saturday I was at my end. Jason went to help someone move and this is the scene he came home to.I have to give a shout out to my long suffering, patient husband. He walked in the door said, "OK" and got to work. It took all day but we got every smell of urine out of the house. I also have to thank our GREAT staff Kristin. She helps out with the guys a ton and when she came on shift she just dove right in and helped.
I asked Tyson if it was hard having a crazy mother and he said no, so I guess he's used to it.
We are just having concrete for a while until we figure out what we want to do. My freak out didn't plan that far ahead :) *Side note* These pictures are courtesy of Jason. He quote unquote, "knew I would like to document my meltdown".

museum trip

We went to the Leid Children's Discovery Museum on Wednesday and had a ton of fun! Half of Tyson's pictures are blurry. The boy was in heaven running all over to see all of the things he was allowed to play with.
Taylor is the happiest pilot I've ever seen.
I have to brag a little, please bear with me. This is the GREATEST BABY EVER! She patiently sat in her stroller and watched the crazy kids. She sat through a chemistry experiment where they blew things up and even took a little nap afterwards.
I didn't feed her once while we were there and she waited patiently to eat until we got home.
It's just amazing to see how nice a baby can be after living through Tyson :)
Taylor was a good baby too, don't get me wrong. Hayden is just so pleasant.
Taylor will walk up to strangers and hold their hands. This worker was putting bubbles all around her and she just stood there and let her. Such a silly girl.
My kids love to paint so it was nice that they were offering a little watercolor painting craft.
This is Tyson's best bud. They love to hang out and play. I think this picture captures their relationship perfectly. Tyson goes with the flow and his friend needs things in order, they compliment each other perfectly.
After the initial hiccup they got down to business.
This is a string less harp. You make music just by running your hands over the air holes.
This had to be one of Tyson's favorite exhibits. You pull down the sting and then let go and a tennis ball shoots up in the sky and is caught by a big net.
These are pulley chairs, the kids loved.
Taylor at the top of the pulley.

Listening to the speed of sound.
I am so glad that Tyson and his bud are OK with Taylor trailing their every move.
They had this whole area about food which was informative and depressing at the same time :)
The funniest exhibit had to be the green screen. On this one they are soccer goalies and tons of balls are being kicked at them. Hilarious!

Don't you wish babies could speak sometimes? Doesn't she look like she wants to say, "Really Mom? Are we done yet?

the 4th

Happy 4th of July! We had a fun little holiday. Grandma and Grandpa sent a fun package with new clothes for the kids. Aren't they the cutest little devils you've ever seen? Tyson is covering Hayden's cute onesie but it says "Mommy's little firecracker". Too cute, thanks Grandma and Grandpa :)

I ordered these cookies from bountiful baskets. They came with the frosting and pre-made cookies (they even had directions on how to frost, in case I was an idiot, which I did read because I thought well maybe I am an idiot and have been frosting wrong all these years) They were a ton of fun and the kids loved them. Tyson did really well frosting the cookies, Taylor is licking the table.
He's only 4 but he's had years of frosting practice. He did it all by himself!
Here they are with the finished product.
Hayden oversaw the affair with her cute little self. Tyson informed me this morning that Hayden is sure getting big. I can't believe she's 5 months already. She is such a fun baby!
On Saturday we went to the park by our house. They were having a big concert, booths, and rides. We got there around 5:30pm and they were doing fireworks at 9:30pm.

We lasted til 7pm and then went home. Jason took the kids to see the fireworks in the van and they enjoyed them. We did fireworks on Sunday but mostly watched all the neighbors and their illegal fireworks. These people must have taken a second out on their homes to pay for these fireworks. It went on for hours! I hope every one had a fun holiday :)
