Disneyland Day 3

We had a little hiccup in our Disneyland plans, it rained on Tuesday and we decided rather than try to drag the kids through the rain to go to IKEA and a movie for the day.  We had a great time at IKEA and saw Chipwrecked.  It was a fun day and Wednesday the weather was perfect.  The only problem is we had to have everything packed and ready to go because we had to drive straight home after a day at Disney.

 We started the day seeing a few characters, and then went on the Alice in Wonderland ride which Taylor hated and then went over to Mr. Toads wild ride.  This was the result: Bawling like babies!  I didn't remember the ride and thought it was pretty fun, the girls not so much.

 After the Mr Toad's fiasco we decided to split up and conquer.  Because it was our last day we had a list of things we would like to get in.  The boys wanted to ride the Thunder Mountain Railroad ride and Pirates again.  The girls and I decided to ride the merry go round which you think would be safe but Hayden got a huge goose egg when the turnstile hit her in the head.

 We decided to give up on rides and go up to meet the princesses which was more fun for both girls.

 We finished lunch at Disneyland and went over to ride the Monsters ride in California and also watched the Muppets 3-D movie.  It is so nice to be able to watch these now without Tyson freaking out like he used to!

 Tyson developed a love for the Tower of Terror and went on it twice.  Mark said his heart couldn't take it and sat out the second time.  Then we all went up to a bug's life area and rode their fun rides.

 Our last ride of the day was the new Toy Story ride.  The kids love it!

It was a really fun trip and we are glad that we got to go before our new little addition makes her way here.

Disneyland Day 2

We started the day out with the guys running to Star Wars and me and the girls riding this ride in the front of Tomorrow Land.  (I honestly don't know what is up with my neck, I must have been smiling extra hard!)  I love Taylor's "real" smile in this picture.

 In line for Dumbo, don't you love all the random kids you get in your pictures at Disneyland?

 Hayden has started doing this half smile which cracks me up.

 Tyson and Darrell thought they could catch up to me and Hayden on Dumbo, Ha Ha!

 Taylor was crazy about going on the tea cups.  We were so happy when this was over and she moved on to her next obsession :)

 Mark loves the boat rides but they are so hard to get him into.  This year we did not attempt the Nemo ride but we did do this storybook cruise.

 When we went to Cedar City for Thanksgiving Jason's grandma was getting rid of her old crafting supplies and I found these great shirt transfers that said DeMille family, she did have 3 but sadly while making the shirts I ruined Hayden's.  I had all of these Disney transfers so I cut the middle out of Grandma's and put Disney in.  I thought they turned out super cute and I was also less worried about losing them on this day :)

 I love how upset Taylor is in this picture, why does everyone bug with her hair?  Poor girl :)

 Hayden was a huge fan of her Strawberry Shortcake blanket and that thing was drug all over Disneyland :)  Thanks Misty!

 We stayed for the water show and I have to say it was really awesome.  We saw it last time we went but this year we got there early enough that we were able to find a bench!  I am telling you it was my favorite, most wonderful, part of the whole day!!! 

On to Day 3...

Disneyland

This year we decided to go to Disneyland on Superbowl Sunday.  Genius, right?  Not so much.  The place was crazy busy and everyone was just walking around with their iphones following the game.  Here is the crew minus Jason : )

 We were waiting for the Phineas and Ferb show.  Hayden loved the music and was dancing up a storm on my shoulders.

 Taylor loved meeting the characters this year and loved getting her autograph book signed.

 I love how Mr Incredible looks like he is about to knock her one.  She was being quite a brat by this time and had already freaked out on quite a few rides.  Hayden was having none of this character.

 Disneyland suckers make everyone happy!

 I decided to be all cute this year and made the kids matching shirts.  I try :)  The girls shirts say fairy princess and Tyson's says little monster.

 This was our first ride:Pirates.  Taylor cried the whole time, Tyson was in heaven, and Hayden did this weird going completely stiff thing when the boat went down the dips.  Darrell was Darrell, gotta love the face.

 Taylor was quite put out that these two messed up her hair.  *Side Note* Taylor and I are locked in a fierce daily battle over her hair.  As you can see this day I won and there was no pony tail.  Why does a 3 year old care what their loving and wonderful mother wants to do with her hair?  Does she think I am going to make her look like a crazy?  This hairdo caused 1/2 an hour of tears and many threats of taking a pair of scissors to her head.  I tell her if she won't do her hair nicely then we are gonna cut it off!

 Taylor was deathly afraid to go up on Tarzan's tree house, as you can see Hayden has no such fears!

 So instead of going up there she tried to climb the rocks and gave me this lovely face.

 About half way through the day Hayden started clapping when she would get afraid on rides meaning that she wants them to be over.  Hilarious!!

 We loved the new Little Mermaid ride and went on it every day we were there.  Taylor announced at the end of the day that it was the only part of the day she liked.

It's so funny what problems you are going to find that you haven't even thought about.  We were so excited to finally not have to take Mark to the bathroom every 5 minutes only to find that Taylor had to go to the bathroom every 2 minutes!  We walked from the hotel to the park and while we saved a few bucks it really sucked.  We wanted to get a leash for Hayden but then realised we should have gotten one for Darrell.  Our first day we were so loaded with lunch, catheter supplies, coats, and drinks that when we had finally walked into the park we realised we didn't bring one diaper or any wipes!  Jason had a great time finding the one store that sold diapers for $1 each!  We decided to use free toilet paper after shelling out $4 for 4 diapers!  If I were a smart woman I  would open a cart at Disneyland selling normal things: diapers, wipes, CHAPSTICK!  I went to every store and not one sold chapstick.  I finally went to the last store by the Tower of Terror and found one tube of chapstick for $5! I'm telling you there is a fortune to be made in just selling the basics at Disneyland!!  On to fun filled day 2...

Hayden's 2nd Birthday

My baby girl turned 2!!!  Hayden is not a fan of smiling for the camera and she is always in motion so here are the best pictures I could get of the girl during her big day.

 Tons of help from big brother and sister while opening presents.  Hayden is like our very own Tasmanian devil so it was funny watching her open wrapped gifts.  She didn't quite get the tearing the paper off.  Maybe it's just more fun destroying things you're not allowed to.  Where is the challenge in unwrapping presents?

 She got a new purse, zhu zhu pets, slippers and a baby stroller.

 She also got a very fun new baby doll from Owen and Parker.  They picked Ariel because she has red hair like Hayden :)

... but then got a bit freaked out when everyone started clapping.  Isn't her face hilarious?!

At 2 Hayden:
                  Still takes 2+ hour naps (I know I am very lucky and fully appreciate her nap time!)
                  Has the craziest hair and I am constantly trying to keep it out of her face
                  Is a total girly girl and bully all wrapped in one cute little package
                  Has been labeled "aggressive" by the nursery
                  Is the bane of Nickel, the dog's existence (her favorite game is hold on to the dog's tail and see where the dog flies her)
                  Is a thumb sucker just like her big sister
                  Is obsessed with the Bubble Guppies (did I say obsessed?!?!)
                  Is a Mommy's girl and wants to be constantly on me
                  Is the most social of our kids and will say hello and goodbye to others (The other 2 still scowl at people instead of being cordial)
                  Loves bath time
                 Is a singing crazy and loves to learn new songs
We are so happy to have Hayden in our family!!!  Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
                 

Wrestling

Jason won four tickets to WWE from X107.5 and took Tyson Darrell and Mark to it.  I have no interest in "wrestling".  I have worked with Mark for almost 12 years and I have had to hear about wrestling for 12 long years.  I don't know why he wasn't smiling in this picture, Jason said he was in heaven the whole time.

 

 They got home pretty late and me and the girls were already asleep.  When I woke Tyson up the next day I asked him how was wrestling?  He said, "Mom, did you know that in wrestling you have to have a table?"  I laughed and laughed :)

 This was Tyson's favorite part of the show.  I guess they had a tag team match going on and then all heck broke loose and all the wrestlers jumped in the fight.

 I know it's fake, but oh my heck, if that were my son going head first into anything I would be upset!

 I guess this guy is a big name in the wrestling world.  I believe his name is "Big Show" (I think Big Ugly is more appropriate, but I didn't name him)

Everyone had a lot of fun, Darrell only got lost once, and I have heard nothing but wrestling talk for days.  Mark keeps going up to people and strangling himself trying to tell them about the show.  I have to keep telling people no one is trying to strangle him, he went to a wrestling show.  Gotta love it :)
