March is almost over, yeah!

Tyson and I had an adventure today with the hair clippers.  This is the result:
He has never had a shaved head before, and probably never will again.  I HATE IT!  It just looks awful and I only have myself to blame!  I just couldn't take him to a hair cutting place with this huge nasty thing on his neck.  You always think you can do it just like the salon but it never turns out quite right at home :)
Neck growth update: As you can see it has gotten even bigger and looks like it is growing something on the growth.  Yes, I have taken him to a dermatologist, but of course we have to wait for the insurance to approve taking it off.  We are scheduled for April 8th to finally be rid of this thing!
The kids love jumping on the trampoline...
  the problem is the collisions!

Taylor and Tyson are crazy about the ants that live in the backyard.  They came in the other day and asked if they could give them food.  Here they are building them rock houses. I don't know if the ants appreciated them :)

I am so glad we are starting a new month.  March has been full of drama and craziness!  Maybe that's why they call it March Madness!

March update

Tyson and Taylor went to a birthday party the other day.  They had a blast!  You can't go wrong with a jump house!  Hours of entertainment :)
Taylor was not a fan of the jump house but still wanted to jump so she made her way to the trampoline.
Tyson has this very weird thing growing on his neck.  It started about three weeks ago.  I took him to the doctor when it looked like this.  He said to keep an eye on it and if he started growing another one to come right in because then it is a virus and must be dealt with immediately.
Well no other things have grown but it has gotten HUGE!  I swear it waved at me yesterday, it is massive!  We are going on Wednesday to see the doctor again.  Tyson is freaking out, but I can't let it get any bigger, it looks totally crazy!
Taylor was in the quick care last week, she couldn't breathe and screamed the entire day.  By the time Jason got home she had already done three breathing treatments, and had three different medications.  In the quick care she had two more breathing treatments and two more medications.  Diagnosis: acute bronchitis.
Acute bronchitis has never been so fashionable!!

picture day

I took the kids and got professional pictures done the other day and they turned out really great!  We hadn't had them done since before Taylor was born so I was really slacking!
Taylor was not too happy about taking pictures because I made her take off her white chapstick she had smeared all over her lips.  It made her look like she had a huge milk moustache.
Hayden loved the pictures and loved the attention.  She's such a funny girl!

The woman taking the pictures was a miracle worker. I can't ever get a picture with all three looking and being decent. I did bribe them with McDonalds if they were good, so maybe that helped :)

Hayden

My baby is a year old!!!
She is such a busy girl!  She crawls everywhere and is in to everything!
At one this girl:
-has the craziest hair ever, it sticks out all over the place and I can't do a thing with it.
-loves to crawl up the stairs and play chase
-has the craziest teeth, the dentist has told me we cannot get baby braces
-is the biggest flirt and will smile at anyone and everyone
-loves her big brother and sister
-says "hi", "uh-oh", and "go"
-just started pointing at objects and babbling
-loves to eat
She was not too excited about the candle but once that was blown out she got down to business.

Then it was on to opening presents, with tons of helps from Ty and Taylor.

Her favorite gift was a cell phone.  It can be programmed to say a message and rings when you hang it up.
I found this amazing ball pit and thought it would be so fun.  She was scared to death of it.
Hayden has been the best baby and we are so happy to have her in our family.

Wild Wednesday

We had quite a busy day on Wednesday.  The kids went to the dentist for their 6 month cleaning and then we went to Disney on Ice that night.  The kids LOVED the show and can't wait to go again!
I know all the food and toys are ridiculously over priced but it's only once a year so we got the popcorn and snow cone, $45 (just teasing but that's what it felt like).
Taylor loved seeing the princesses, the problem was she thought she was allowed to go down and see them and kept trying to leave our seats to get to them.  At Disneyland you wait in line to see the princesses and then you go down in this amphitheater area and get to take pictures with them and hug them.  She was really confused that she had to sit there and not see them up close.
Minnie and Micky started the show by exploding out of this huge present, it was really fun.  The place went wild when they saw them.

Tyson's favorite part of course was Jack and the villains.  He is really into being the "bad" guy right now when he plays.  Villains are more fun so I can't blame him :)
Hayden was enthralled with the show and was waving her arms and legs wildly.  Everyone thought she was hysterical (especially the guy next to Jason).  She was so tired by intermission, it made the second half a little crazy.
Here are Tyson and Taylor in the lobby of the dentist's office.
Tyson has no fear of the dentist which is odd because he's scared of everything else!  He laid right down on the table and was ready to go.
Taylor had to be bribed into laying down.  She was told she could have a princesses toothbrush if she laid down and  she was very agreeable after that!
Tyson doing awesome!  This picture makes me so happy, being obsessed with teeth and all :)
Taylor showing off her finished product, look at those pearly whites!
I also had the dentist check Hayden's teeth out.  Her front tooth is coming in crooked and being a tooth crazy I told them I would pay for baby braces.  I don't know why more babies don't have them.  These things need to be nipped in the bud.  She can't walk yet but she could do braces, right?  The dentist looked at me a little oddly and said he would reassess her in 6 months and there isn't much to do about it.  I think I need a second opinion!

Snowmageddon

On Monday it snowed in Vegas!  This is our back yard Sunday night around 10:30pm.  Jason ran outside and took these lovely photos.
The guys had their annual eye appointment at 9am on Monday morning and it was horrible driving in the stuff!
I lived in Utah for a few years and that was enough snow to last me a lifetime! This makes me so sad, I love Vegas for it's lack of snow.
Happy Snowmageddon!

Christmas 2010

Christmas!!! Finally I am blogging about it.  A week late but here they are nevertheless :)
Hayden has the craziest hair right now.  It sticks out all over.  I can't wait til it gets long enough to do things with.
Here are Christmas Eve PJ's.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa DeMille.
Christmas morning!!!  The present bonanza!  Don't you just love Christmas morning?  It's just the most awesome morning of the entire year!  As a kid it's the presents and the Santa excitement, then when you're an adult it's the culmination of all your hard work.  I love it!!  Look at those faces!
Tyson was hilarious this year!  He opens his first gift and didn't know what to do with it.  He states, "This wasn't on my list".  We convinced him he could keep it even though it wasn't on his list.  He was so serious about his Christmas wish list.  He asked for tons of legos!
When we weren't laughing about Tyson's seriousness, we were dying over Hayden's excitement!  She got a mini kitchen that sings and when the song is turned on she sits and waves her arms like crazy.  It made her so happy, I have to give myself a big pat on the back for that purchase :)

Nickel of course was in the middle of everything.  She just turned 6 years old!  We can't believe it, we thought for sure we would have killed her by now, especially after she ate Jason's ipod, or the time she chewed up our visitors digital camera, or the time she jumped over the back fence and we were driving the streets looking for her after midnight...wow I think I am going to be applying for sainthood soon just for not killing that dang dog :)
Taylor got a laptop from Grandma and Hayden loved her busy ball.
Taylor is such a girly girl and she got tons of jewelery for Christmas.  She loved opening presents and was so excited for princess gifts, shoes, and chapstick!
I could not resist getting the girls matching outfits.  Aren't they the cutest?
Hayden's official first word is "Go".  She says it everytime the dog comes around.  I guess we say it a little too much to poor old Nickel.  Hayden LOVES the dog!  I complain about how annoying the dog is but I love that the kids are growing up with an animal.
Princess Taylor.  I love that the kids will wear whatever craziness I put them in.  Taylor got a ballerina outfit and Tyson got a soldier and fireman outfit.
Isn't she a doll?  Grandma DeMille sent these darling hair poofs.
Christmas was pretty low key this year.  We had just the family, guys and Grandma here.  We opened gifts had a wonderful breakfast made by Jason and then went to a movie.  I really tried to enjoy how excited the kids were this year.  I love how excited they got over their gifts and how fun it has been to do all the great holiday traditions with them.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!!
