the 4th

Happy 4th of July! We had a fun little holiday. Grandma and Grandpa sent a fun package with new clothes for the kids. Aren't they the cutest little devils you've ever seen? Tyson is covering Hayden's cute onesie but it says "Mommy's little firecracker". Too cute, thanks Grandma and Grandpa :)

I ordered these cookies from bountiful baskets. They came with the frosting and pre-made cookies (they even had directions on how to frost, in case I was an idiot, which I did read because I thought well maybe I am an idiot and have been frosting wrong all these years) They were a ton of fun and the kids loved them. Tyson did really well frosting the cookies, Taylor is licking the table.
He's only 4 but he's had years of frosting practice. He did it all by himself!
Here they are with the finished product.
Hayden oversaw the affair with her cute little self. Tyson informed me this morning that Hayden is sure getting big. I can't believe she's 5 months already. She is such a fun baby!
On Saturday we went to the park by our house. They were having a big concert, booths, and rides. We got there around 5:30pm and they were doing fireworks at 9:30pm.

We lasted til 7pm and then went home. Jason took the kids to see the fireworks in the van and they enjoyed them. We did fireworks on Sunday but mostly watched all the neighbors and their illegal fireworks. These people must have taken a second out on their homes to pay for these fireworks. It went on for hours! I hope every one had a fun holiday :)

update

I finally am grabbing a minute to update what we've been up to. I would love to say that we have been on an awesome vacation or busy doing fabulous summer fun things. But alas and alack, no. We have been dealing with crazy kids and crazy guys. It seems everyone is deciding to go nuts this summer and cause drama in our house. I've decided that everyone is vying for attention and they are in a competition to out do each other with wild behaviors. Right now Mark is in the lead followed closely by Tyson, Taylor and Darrell are tied for third and Hayden is a distant last place. She is probably doing the best, but maybe that's because she gets the most attention :)
Isn't she the cutest center piece you've ever seen?

We are so lucky to have such an easy going, happy baby! At her 4 month check up she weighed almost 17 pounds and the doctor was surprised at how strong and alert she was. He gave me some helpful tips on how to keep heat rash out of all her chubby leg and arm rolls. I guess Baby powder is old school and can cause awful yeast infections in chub rolls, who knew?
Tyson finished his t-ball season and did AWESOME! When he decides to be a turd at home I will have to remind myself how happy I have been with him this t-ball season. I have seriously been waiting for him to be in sports since he was 6 months old! I love my little t-baller!!!
Taylor is becoming quite the little out spoken almost 2 year old. She has decided that she wants to be potty trained and goes crazy if there is anything in her diaper. She comes down every morning grabbing her diaper and shouting "Na na" and then points to the bathroom and says"elmo". Translation: There is nastiness in my diaper and I would like to sit on my Elmo potty chair.
Here are Jason and Hayden having a little snooze together :)
The other day I tried to chronicle a day in our life so I took this picture on the way to the grocery store. We got all the way to Super Walmart and I realized I didn't bring my purse. By the time I got the kids reloaded in the car to go back home to get my purse I was pretty defeated and we stayed home the rest of the day. Three kiddos is no joke! I would have had major melt downs had I attempted to drive all the way back and then put them through a shopping trip.
We got the high chair out of the garage for Hayden to sit in while I work in the kitchen. Taylor has decided that it is her seat and I have found her many times just sitting in it chillin'.
We also got the excesaucer out for Hayden and she is liking being able to stand and see all the action around her. I think the hat was Tyson's idea.
The other day our friends came over and we went to the water park. The kids had a blast spending the day with their favorite babysitters :)

Can you believe June is almost over? Summer is flying by!

crazy kids

Hayden is getting to be so much fun. She is such a happy baby and loves to smile. Here are some of the cute little faces she makes:
Smiles
Worried

and Cracking up.
Here she is with Daddy at Tyson's t-ball game. I love her in hats :)
Tyson is finally a t-ball superstar (according to me). He can hit...
...he can field
...he leaves other kids crying in the dirt over his awesome t-ball talents
...he also runs so hard he passes other kids up on their way to home plate! (Sorry about that Michael :)
I am so happy it is finally all coming together!
The next season however, is Coach pitch (wish us luck!!!)
Tyson and Jason went on a Father and sons and Tyson had a blast.
Tyson really likes these two friends so he was in heaven getting to hang out with them all night.

Grandma and Grandpa DeMille brought Taylor the cutest little outfit from Hawaii. We finally put it on her the other day and she loved it. She loved it so much though, she would not stand still and take a decent picture.
She was dancing and running all over the house. She's such a crazy girl!
On Monday I went to Target and scored all of this for about $28.
I love couponing!!
While at Target I also got the kids this fun water sprinkler. (Can you believe I even had a coupon for it too!?!)
I love how this picture shows a bit of Tyson's and Taylor's personalities. Taylor has no fear and dives right in to having fun. Tyson is so nervous about the water he is hiking his pants up to avoid getting wet.
They both were eventually soaking wet, it's just funny to see how different they are.

our fun week

We've had a busy week with visitors and Hayden's blessing. I am finally getting a chance to blog about it all. Here is Taylor being a princess. She doesn't know what to think of the boa :) We are so close to being done on the kids little play room. All that needs to be done is the crown molding around the chalkboards and another toy net put in the corner. Don't ask me what Tyson is drawing, I do believe he said it was some sort of monster with a ton of arms.

On Saturday Tyson had Grandma and Grandpa DeMille and Grandma Brenda at his t-ball game.

During the last inning Grandpa helped Tyson out in the field and on the last play of the game Tyson actually ran after the ball and threw it in.
Grandma DeMille was making Hayden's slip for her blessing dress and Tyson was her big helper.
You've got to love kids, I figure this is how my family pictures will look for some time to come. Honestly, this was the best one!
On Monday we took Grandma DeMille to the strip we saw the lion cubs at the MGM. It was feeding time and we got to see the lions up close.

We also ate at the Rainforest Cafe. We had never been and it was really fun. GREAT food!
Darrell is really having a good time but I forgot to tell him to smile for the camera.
Here is Tyson's face when the thunder storm started. He was really scared until he realised the animals were robots and then he was fine.
Here is Taylor's face when the thunder storm was going on. Not too amused :)
Grandma and Hayden
We also went through the M & M factory.
The wall of M & M's had to be our favorite!
Yesterday Grandma and I took the kids to the Fashion Show mall and got bears at Build-a-Bear. The kids had a blast!

Tyson picked out a fireman outfit for his bear.
Taylor got a ballerina bear.

We had such a fun time visiting with friends and family I wish I could post all the pictures from our week. Thanks everyone who came to and helped with Hayden's blessing. We love you!!
